سورة الطارق
Sura #86 | Makkah

	1	Ik zweer bij den hemel en bij de ster, die des nachts verschijnt.

	2	Maar wat zal u datgene doen verstaan, wat bij nacht verschijnt?

	3	Het is de ster, die glansrijke stralen schiet.

	4	Iedere ziel heeft een wachter, die over hem is aangesteld.

	5	Laat de mensch dus overwegen van wat hij is geschapen.

	6	Hij is geschapen van een droppel zaad.

	7	Uit de lendenen en de borstbeenderen voortkomende.

	8	Waarlijk, God is in staat hem in het leven terug te roepen.

	9	Op den dag waarop alle verborgen denkbeelden en daden zullen worden onderzocht.

	10	En hij zal de macht om zich te verdedigen, noch eenigen beschermer hebben.

	11	Bij den hemel, die (regen) nedergiet.

	12	En bij de aarde, die zich opent om planten en bronnen te doen voortspruiten.

	13	Waarlijk, dit is een gesprek ter onderscheiding (tusschen het goede en het kwade);

	14	Het is niet lichtvaardig samengesteld.

	15	Waarlijk, de ongeloovigen spannen samen (om mijne plannen te verijdelen);

	16	Maar ik zal samenspannen om hen te vernietigen.

	17	Daarom, o profeet! wees geduldig met de ongeloovigen, en laat hen korten tijd met vrede.
