1  
تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ الْفُرْقَانَ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ لِيَكُونَ لِلْعَالَمِينَ نَذِيرًا
Transliteration 1: Tabaraka allathee nazzala alfurqana AAala AAabdihi liyakoona lilAAalameena natheeran
Yusuf Ali 1: Blessed is He who sent down the criterion to His servant, that it may be an admonition to all creatures;-
Mohsin Khan: 1: Blessed be He Who sent down the criterion (of right and wrong, i.e. this Qur'an) to His slave (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) that he may be a warner to the 'Alamin (mankind and jinn).
Saheeh: 1: Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner -
Urdu 1: وہ بڑی برکت والا ہے جس نے اپنے بندے پر قرآن نازل کیا تاکہ تمام جہان کے لیےڈرانے والا ہو

الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُ تَقْدِيرًا
Transliteration 2: Allathee lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi walam yattakhith waladan walam yakun lahu shareekun fee almulki wakhalaqa kulla shayin faqaddarahu taqdeeran
Yusuf Ali 2: He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: no son has He begotten, nor has He a partner in His dominion: it is He who created all things, and ordered them in due proportions.
Mohsin Khan: 2: He to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Who has begotten no son (children or offspring) and for Whom there is no partner in the dominion. He has created everything, and has measured it exactly according to its due measurements.
Saheeh: 2: He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination.
Urdu 2: وہ جس کی آسمانوں اور زمین میں سلطنت ہے اور اس نے نہ کسی کو بیٹا بنایا ہے اور نہ کوئی سلطنت میں اس کا شریک ہے اور اس نے ہر چیز کو پیدا کر کے اندازہ پر قائم کر دیا

وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً لَّا يَخْلُقُونَ شَيْئًا وَهُمْ يُخْلَقُونَ وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنفُسِهِمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ مَوْتًا وَلَا حَيَاةً وَلَا نُشُورًا
Transliteration 3: Waittakhathoo min doonihi alihatan la yakhluqoona shayan wahum yukhlaqoona wala yamlikoona lianfusihim darran wala nafAAan wala yamlikoona mawtan wala hayatan wala nushooran
Yusuf Ali 3: Yet have they taken, besides him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created; that have no control of hurt or good to themselves; nor can they control death nor life nor resurrection.
Mohsin Khan: 3: Yet they have taken besides Him other alihah (gods) who created nothing but are themselves created, and possess neither harm nor benefit for themselves, and possess no power (of causing) death, nor (of giving) life, nor of raising the dead.
Saheeh: 3: But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection.
Urdu 3: اور انہوں نے الله کے سوا ایسے معبود بنا رکھے ہیں جو کچھ بھی پیدا نہیں کر سکتے حالانکہ وہ خود پیدا کیے گئے ہیں اور وہ اپنی ذات کے لیے نقصان اور نفع کے مالک نہیں اور موت اور زندگی اور دوبارہ اٹھنے کے بھی مالک نہیں


4  
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَـٰذَا إِلَّا إِفْكٌ افْتَرَاهُ وَأَعَانَهُ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ آخَرُونَ ۖ فَقَدْ جَاءُوا ظُلْمًا وَزُورًا
Transliteration 4: Waqala allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa ifkun iftarahu waaAAanahu AAalayhi qawmun akharoona faqad jaoo thulman wazooran
Yusuf Ali 4: But the misbelievers say: "Naught is this but a lie which he has forged, and others have helped him at it." In truth it is they who have put forward an iniquity and a falsehood.
Mohsin Khan: 4: Those who disbelieve say: "This (the Qur'an) is nothing but a lie that he (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) has invented, and others have helped him at it. In fact they have produced an unjust wrong (thing) and a lie."
Saheeh: 4: And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie.
Urdu 4: اور کافر کہتے ہیں کہ یہ تو محض جھوٹ ہے جسے اس نے بنا لیا ہے اور دوسرے لوگوں نے اس میں ا س کی مدد کی ہے پس وہ بڑے ظلم اور جھوٹ پر اتر آئے ہیں


5  
وَقَالُوا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ اكْتَتَبَهَا فَهِيَ تُمْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
Transliteration 5: Waqaloo asateeru alawwaleena iktatabaha fahiya tumla AAalayhi bukratan waaseelan
Yusuf Ali 5: And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written: and they are dictated before him morning and evening."
Mohsin Khan: 5: And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has written down: and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."
Saheeh: 5: And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."
Urdu 5: اور کہتے ہیں کہ پہلوں کی کہانیاں ہیں کہ جنہیں اس نے لکھ رکھا ہے پس وہی اس پر صبح اور شام پڑھی جاتی ہیں

قُلْ أَنزَلَهُ الَّذِي يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
Transliteration 6: Qul anzalahu allathee yaAAlamu alssirra fee alssamawati waalardi innahu kana ghafooran raheeman
Yusuf Ali 6: Say: "The (Qur'an) was sent down by Him who knows the mystery (that is) in the heavens and the earth: verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
Mohsin Khan: 6: Say: "It (this Qur'an) has been sent down by Him (Allah) (the Real Lord of the heavens and earth) Who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
Saheeh: 6: Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful."
Urdu 6: کہہ دو کہ اسے تو اس نے نازل کیا ہے جو آسمانوں اور زمین کی پوشیدہ باتیں جانتا ہے بے شک وہ بخشنے والا نہایت رحم والا ہے


7  
وَقَالُوا مَالِ هَـٰذَا الرَّسُولِ يَأْكُلُ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشِي فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ ۙ لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكُونَ مَعَهُ نَذِيرًا
Transliteration 7: Waqaloo mali hatha alrrasooli yakulu alttaAAama wayamshee fee alaswaqi lawla onzila ilayhi malakun fayakoona maAAahu natheeran
Yusuf Ali 7: And they say: "What sort of a messenger is this, who eats food, and walks through the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him to give admonition with him?
Mohsin Khan: 7: And they say: "Why does this Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) eat food, and walk about in the markets (as we). Why is not an angel sent down to him to be a warner with him?
Saheeh: 7: And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner?
Urdu 7: اور کہتے ہیں اس رسول کو کیا ہوگیا کہ کھاناکھاتا اور بازاروں میں پھرتا ہے اس کے پاس کوئی فرشتہ کیوں نہیں بھیجا گیا کہ اس کے ساتھ وہ بھی ڈرانے والا ہوتا


8  
أَوْ يُلْقَىٰ إِلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ تَكُونُ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا ۚ وَقَالَ الظَّالِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُورًا
Transliteration 8: Aw yulqa ilayhi kanzun aw takoonu lahu jannatun yakulu minha waqala alththalimoona in tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashooran
Yusuf Ali 8: "Or (Why) has not a treasure been bestowed on him, or why has he (not) a garden for enjoyment?" The wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched."
Mohsin Khan: 8: "Or (why) has not a treasure been granted to him, or why has he not a garden whereof he may eat?" And the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) say: "You follow none but a man bewitched."
Saheeh: 8: Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."
Urdu 8: یا اس کے پاس کوئی خزانہ آجاتا یا اس کے لیے باغ ہوتا جس میں سےکھاتا اور بے انصافوں نے کہا کہ تم تو بس ایک ایسے شخص کے تابع ہوگئے جس پر جادو کیا گیا ہے


9  
انظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا لَكَ الْأَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّوا فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا
Transliteration 9: Onthur kayfa daraboo laka alamthala fadalloo fala yastateeAAoona sabeelan
Yusuf Ali 9: See what kinds of comparisons they make for thee! But they have gone astray, and never a way will they be able to find!
Mohsin Khan: 9: See how they coin similitudes for you, so they have gone astray, and they cannot find a (Right) Path.
Saheeh: 9: Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way.
Urdu 9: دیکھو تو تمہارے لیے کیسی مثالیں بیان کرتے ہیں پس وہ ایسے گمراہ ہو ئے کہ راستہ بھی نہیں پا سکتے


10  
تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي إِن شَاءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيْرًا مِّن ذَ‌ٰلِكَ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَيَجْعَل لَّكَ قُصُورًا
Transliteration 10: Tabaraka allathee in shaa jaAAala laka khayran min thalika jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu wayajAAal laka qusooran
Yusuf Ali 10: Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in).
Mohsin Khan: 10: Blessed be He Who, if He wills will assign you better than (all) that - Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise) and will assign you palaces (i.e. in Paradise).
Saheeh: 10: Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces.
Urdu 10: بڑی برکت ہے اس کی جو چاہے تو تیرے لیے اس سے بہتر باغ بنا دے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں اور تیرے لیے محل بنا دے


11  
بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالسَّاعَةِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِالسَّاعَةِ سَعِيرًا
Transliteration 11: Bal kaththaboo bialssaAAati waaAAtadna liman kaththaba bialssaAAati saAAeeran
Yusuf Ali 11: Nay they deny the hour (of the judgment to come): but We have prepared a blazing fire for such as deny the hour:
Mohsin Khan: 11: Nay, they deny the Hour (the Day of Resurrection), and for those who deny the Hour, We have prepared a flaming Fire (i.e. Hell).
Saheeh: 11: But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze.
Urdu 11: بلکہ انہوں نے تو قیامت کو جھوٹ سمجھ لیا ہے اور ہم نے اس کے لیے آگ تیار کی ہے جو قیامت کو جھٹلاتا ہے


12  
إِذَا رَأَتْهُم مِّن مَّكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا
Transliteration 12: Itha raathum min makanin baAAeedin samiAAoo laha taghayyuthan wazafeeran
Yusuf Ali 12: When it sees them from a place far off, they will hear its fury and its ranging sigh.
Mohsin Khan: 12: When it (Hell) sees them from a far place, they will hear its raging and its roaring.
Saheeh: 12: When the Hellfire sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring.
Urdu 12: جب وہ انہیں دور سے دیکھے گی تو اس کے جوش و خروش کی آواز سنیں گے


13  
وَإِذَا أُلْقُوا مِنْهَا مَكَانًا ضَيِّقًا مُّقَرَّنِينَ دَعَوْا هُنَالِكَ ثُبُورًا
Transliteration 13: Waitha olqoo minha makanan dayyiqan muqarraneena daAAaw hunalika thubooran
Yusuf Ali 13: And when they are cast, bound together into a constricted place therein, they will plead for destruction there and then!
Mohsin Khan: 13: And when they shall be thrown into a narrow place thereof, chained together, they will exclaim therein for destruction.
Saheeh: 13: And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction.
Urdu 13: اور جب وہ اس کے کسی تنگ مکان میں جکڑکر ڈال دیے جائیں گے تو وہاں موت کو پکاریں گے


14  
لَّا تَدْعُوا الْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا وَاحِدًا وَادْعُوا ثُبُورًا كَثِيرًا
Transliteration 14: La tadAAoo alyawma thubooran wahidan waodAAoo thubooran katheeran
Yusuf Ali 14: "This day plead not for a single destruction: plead for destruction oft-repeated!"
Mohsin Khan: 14: Exclaim not today for one destruction, but exclaim for many destructions.
Saheeh: 14: [They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction."
Urdu 14: آج ایک موت کو نہ پکارو اور بہت سی موتوں کو پکارو


15  
قُلْ أَذَ‌ٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ الْخُلْدِ الَّتِي وُعِدَ الْمُتَّقُونَ ۚ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَزَاءً وَمَصِيرًا
Transliteration 15: Qul athalika khayrun am jannatu alkhuldi allatee wuAAida almuttaqoona kanat lahum jazaan wamaseeran
Yusuf Ali 15: Say: "Is that best, or the eternal garden, promised to the righteous? for them, that is a reward as well as a goal (of attainment).
Mohsin Khan: 15: Say: (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) "Is that (torment) better or the Paradise of Ete - nity which is promised to the Muttaqun (the pious - See V.2:2)?" It will be theirs as a reward and as a final destination.
Saheeh: 15: Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination.
Urdu 15: کہہ دو کیا بہتر ہے یا وہ بہشت جس کا پرہیز گارو ں کے لیے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے جو ان کا بدلہ اور ٹھکانہ ہوگی


16  
لَّهُمْ فِيهَا مَا يَشَاءُونَ خَالِدِينَ ۚ كَانَ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعْدًا مَّسْئُولًا
Transliteration 16: Lahum feeha ma yashaoona khalideena kana AAala rabbika waAAdan masoolan
Yusuf Ali 16: "For them there will be therein all that they wish for: they will dwell (there) for aye: A promise to be prayed for from thy Lord."
Mohsin Khan: 16: For them there will be therein all that they desire, and they will abide (there forever). It is a promise binding upon your Lord that must be fulfilled.
Saheeh: 16: For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested.
Urdu 16: وہاں انہیں جو چاہیں گے ملے گا وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہیں گے یہ وعدہ تیرے رب کے ذمہ ہے جو قابل درخواست ہے


17  
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَيَقُولُ أَأَنتُمْ أَضْلَلْتُمْ عِبَادِي هَـٰؤُلَاءِ أَمْ هُمْ ضَلُّوا السَّبِيلَ
Transliteration 17: Wayawma yahshuruhum wama yaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi fayaqoolu aantum adlaltum AAibadee haolai am hum dalloo alssabeela
Yusuf Ali 17: The day He will gather them together as well as those whom they worship besides Allah, He will ask: "Was it ye who let these My servants astray, or did they stray from the Path themselves?"
Mohsin Khan: 17: And on the Day when He will gather them together and that which they worship besides Allah [idols, angels, pious men, saints] . He will say: "Was it you who misled these My slaves or did they (themselves) stray from the (Right) Path?"
Saheeh: 17: And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?"
Urdu 17: اورجس دن انہیں اور ان کے معبودوں کو جمع کرے گا جنھیں وہ الله کے سوا پوجتے تھے تو فرمائے گا کیا تم ہی نے میرے ان بندوں کو گمراہ کیا تھا یا وہ خود راستہ بھول گئے تھے


18  
قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنبَغِي لَنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ وَلَـٰكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا الذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا بُورًا
Transliteration 18: Qaloo subhanaka ma kana yanbaghee lana an nattakhitha min doonika min awliyaa walakin mattaAAtahum waabaahum hatta nasoo alththikra wakanoo qawman booran
Yusuf Ali 18: They will say: "Glory to Thee! not meet was it for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee: But Thou didst bestow, on them and their fathers, good things (in life), until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost."
Mohsin Khan: 18: They will say: "Glorified be You! It was not for us to take any Auliya' (Protectors, Helpers) besides You, but You gave them and their fathers comfort till they forgot the warning, and became a lost people (doomed to total loss).
Saheeh: 18: They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."
Urdu 18: کہیں گے تو پاک ہے ہمیں یہ کب لایق تھا کہ تیرے سوا کسی اور کو کارساز بناتے لیکن تو نے انہیں اور ان کے باپ دادا کو یہاں تک آسودگی دی تھی کہ وہ یاد کرنا بھول گئے اور یہ لوگ تباہ ہونے والے تھے


19  
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوكُم بِمَا تَقُولُونَ فَمَا تَسْتَطِيعُونَ صَرْفًا وَلَا نَصْرًا ۚ وَمَن يَظْلِم مِّنكُمْ نُذِقْهُ عَذَابًا كَبِيرًا
Transliteration 19: Faqad kaththabookum bima taqooloona fama tastateeAAoona sarfan wala nasran waman yathlim minkum nuthiqhu AAathaban kabeeran
Yusuf Ali 19: (Allah will say): "Now have they proved you liars in what ye say: so ye cannot avert (your penalty) nor (get) help." And whoever among you does wrong, him shall We cause to taste of a grievous Penalty.
Mohsin Khan: 19: Thus they (false gods - all deities other than Allah) will belie you (polytheists) regarding what you say (that they are gods besides Allah): then you can neither avert (the punishment), nor get help. And whoever among you does wrong (i.e. sets up rivals to Allah), We shall make him taste a great torment.
Saheeh: 19: So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you - We will make him taste a great punishment.
Urdu 19: سو تمہارے معبودوں نے تمہاری باتو ں میں تمہیں جھٹلا دیا سو تم نہ تو ٹال سکتے ہو اور نہ مدد دے سکتے ہو اور جو تم میں سے ظلم کرے گا ہم اسے بڑا عذاب چکھائیں گے


20  
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلَّا إِنَّهُمْ لَيَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَيَمْشُونَ فِي الْأَسْوَاقِ ۗ وَجَعَلْنَا بَعْضَكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ فِتْنَةً أَتَصْبِرُونَ ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ بَصِيرًا
Transliteration 20: Wama arsalna qablaka mina almursaleena illa innahum layakuloona alttaAAama wayamshoona fee alaswaqi wajaAAalna baAAdakum libaAAdin fitnatan atasbiroona wakana rabbuka baseeran
Yusuf Ali 20: And the messengers whom We sent before thee were all (men) who ate food and walked through the streets: We have made some of you as a trial for others: will ye have patience? for Allah is One Who sees (all things).
Mohsin Khan: 20: And We never sent before you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) any of the Messengers but verily, they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you as a trial for others: will you have patience? And your Lord is Ever All-Seer (of everything).
Saheeh: 20: And We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing.
Urdu 20: اور ہم نے تجھ سے پہلے جتنے پیغمبر بھیجے وہ کھانا بھی کھاتے تھے اور بازاروں میں بھی چلتے پھرتے تھے اورہم نے تمہیں ایک دوسرے کے لیے آزمائش بنایا کیا تم ثابت قدم رہتے ہو اور تیرا رب سب کچھ دیکھنے والا ہے


21  
 ۞ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا لَوْلَا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْا عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا
Transliteration 21: Waqala allatheena la yarjoona liqaana lawla onzila AAalayna almalaikatu aw nara rabbana laqadi istakbaroo fee anfusihim waAAataw AAutuwwan kabeeran
Yusuf Ali 21: Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety!
Mohsin Khan: 21: And those who expect not a Meeting with Us (i.e. those who deny the Day of Resurrection and the life of the Hereafter) said: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they think too highly of themselves, and are scornful with great pride.
Saheeh: 21: And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.
Urdu 21: اور ان لوگوں نے کہا جو ہم سے ملنے کی امید نہیں رکھتے کہ ہمارے پاس فرشتے کیوں نہ بھیجے گئے یا ہم اپنے رب کو دیکھ لیتے البتہ انہوں نے اپنے آپ کو بہت بڑاسمجھ لیا ہے اور بہت بڑی سرکشی کی ہے


22  
يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا
Transliteration 22: Yawma yarawna almalaikata la bushra yawmaithin lilmujrimeena wayaqooloona hijran mahjooran
Yusuf Ali 22: The Day they see the angels,- no joy will there be to the sinners that Day: The (angels) will say: "There is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!"
Mohsin Khan: 22: On the Day they will see the angels - no glad tidings will there be for the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) that day. And they (angels) will say: "All kinds of glad tidings are forbidden to you," [none will be allowed to enter Paradise except the one who said: La ilaha illallah, "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) and acted practically on its legal orders and obligations. See the footnote of V.2:193)].
Saheeh: 22: The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."
Urdu 22: جس دن فرشتوں کو دیکھیں گے اس دن مجرموں کے لیے کوئی خوشی نہیں ہو گی اورکہیں گے آڑ کر دی جائے


23  
وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَّنثُورًا
Transliteration 23: Waqadimna ila ma AAamiloo min AAamalin fajaAAalnahu habaan manthooran
Yusuf Ali 23: And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about.
Mohsin Khan: 23: And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.
Saheeh: 23: And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.
Urdu 23: اور جو عمل انہوں نے کیے تھے ہم ان کی طرف متوجہ ہوں گے پھر انہیں اڑتی ہوئی خاک کر دیں گے


24  
أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا
Transliteration 24: Ashabu aljannati yawmaithin khayrun mustaqarran waahsanu maqeelan
Yusuf Ali 24: The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose.
Mohsin Khan: 24: The dwellers of Paradise (i.e. those who deserved it through their Islamic Monotheistic Faith and their deeds of righteousness) will, on that Day, have the best abode, and have the fairest of places for repose.
Saheeh: 24: The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place.
Urdu 24: اس دن بہشتیوں کا ٹھکانا بہتر ہوگا اور دوپہر کی آرام گاہ بھی عمدہ ہو گی


25  
وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ السَّمَاءُ بِالْغَمَامِ وَنُزِّلَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا
Transliteration 25: Wayawma tashaqqaqu alssamao bialghamami wanuzzila almalaikatu tanzeelan
Yusuf Ali 25: The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),-
Mohsin Khan: 25: And (remember) the Day when the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and the angels will be sent down, with a grand descending.
Saheeh: 25: And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.
Urdu 25: اور جس دن آسمان بادل سے پھٹ جائے گا اور فرشتے بکثرت اتارے جائیں گے


26  
الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ عَسِيرًا
Transliteration 26: Almulku yawmaithin alhaqqu lilrrahmani wakana yawman AAala alkafireena AAaseeran
Yusuf Ali 26: That Day, the dominion as of right and truth, shall be (wholly) for (Allah) Most Merciful: it will be a Day of dire difficulty for the misbelievers.
Mohsin Khan: 26: The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Gracious (Allah), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism).
Saheeh: 26: True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.
Urdu 26: اس دن حقیقی حکومت رحمنٰ ہی کی ہوگی اور وہ دن کافروں پر بڑا سخت ہوگا


27  
وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا
Transliteration 27: Wayawma yaAAaddu alththalimu AAala yadayhi yaqoolu ya laytanee ittakhathtu maAAa alrrasooli sabeelan
Yusuf Ali 27: The Day that the wrong-doer will bite at his hands, he will say, "Oh! would that I had taken a (straight) path with the Messenger!
Mohsin Khan: 27: And (remember) the Day when the Zalim (wrong-doer, oppressor, polytheist) will bite at his hands, he will say: "Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم).
Saheeh: 27: And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.
Urdu 27: اور اس دن ظالم اپنے ہاتھ کاٹ کاٹ کھائے گا کہے گا اے کاش میں بھی رسول کے ساتھ راہ چلتا


28  
يَا وَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا
Transliteration 28: Ya waylata laytanee lam attakhith fulanan khaleelan
Yusuf Ali 28: "Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend!
Mohsin Khan: 28: "Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a Khalil (an intimate friend)!
Saheeh: 28: Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.
Urdu 28: ہائے میری شامت کاش میں نے فلاں کو دوست نہ بنایا ہوتا


29  
لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَنِي ۗ وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنسَانِ خَذُولًا
Transliteration 29: Laqad adallanee AAani alththikri baAAda ith jaanee wakana alshshaytanu lilinsani khathoolan
Yusuf Ali 29: "He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Evil One is but a traitor to man!"
Mohsin Khan: 29: "He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Qur'an) after it had come to me. And Shaitan (Satan) is to man ever a deserter in the hour of need." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi]
Saheeh: 29: He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."
Urdu 29: اسی نے تو نصیحت کے آنے کےبعد مجھے بہکا دیا اور شیطان تو انسان کو رسوا کرنے والا ہی ہے


30  
وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَـٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا
Transliteration 30: Waqala alrrasoolu ya rabbi inna qawmee ittakhathoo hatha alqurana mahjooran
Yusuf Ali 30: Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense."
Mohsin Khan: 30: And the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) will say: "O my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Qur'an (neither listened to it, nor acted on its laws and teachings).
Saheeh: 30: And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned."
Urdu 30: اور رسول کہے گا اے میرے رب بےشک میری قوم نے اس قرآن کو نظر انداز کر رکھا تھا


31  
وَكَذَ‌ٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا
Transliteration 31: Wakathalika jaAAalna likulli nabiyyin AAaduwwan mina almujrimeena wakafa birabbika hadiyan wanaseeran
Yusuf Ali 31: Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners: but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help.
Mohsin Khan: 31: Thus have We made for every Prophet an enemy among the Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, criminals). But Sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and Helper.
Saheeh: 31: And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.
Urdu 31: اور ہم اسی مجرموں کو ہر ایک نبی کا دشمن بناتے رہے ہیں اور ہدایت کرنے اور مدد کرنے کے لیے تیرا رب کافی ہے


32  
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً ۚ كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلًا
Transliteration 32: Waqala allatheena kafaroo lawla nuzzila AAalayhi alquranu jumlatan wahidatan kathalika linuthabbita bihi fuadaka warattalnahu tarteelan
Yusuf Ali 32: Those who reject Faith say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have rehearsed it to thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually.
Mohsin Khan: 32: And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in 23 years.).
Saheeh: 32: And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.
Urdu 32: اور کافر کہتے ہیں کہ اس پر یکبارگی قرآن کیوں نازل نہیں کیا گیا اسی طرح اتارا گیا تاکہ ہم اس سے تیرے دل کو اطمینان دیں اور ہم نے اسے ٹھہر ٹھہر کر پڑھ سنایا


33  
وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا
Transliteration 33: Wala yatoonaka bimathalin illa jinaka bialhaqqi waahsana tafseeran
Yusuf Ali 33: And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof).
Mohsin Khan: 33: And no example or similitude do they bring (to oppose or to find fault in you or in this Qur'an), but We reveal to you the truth (against that similitude or example), and the better explanation thereof.
Saheeh: 33: And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.
Urdu 33: اور جو انوکھی بات تیرے سامنے لائیں گے ہم بھی تمہیں اس کا بہت ٹھیک جواب اوربہت عمدہ حل بتائیں


34  
الَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُولَـٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
Transliteration 34: Allatheena yuhsharoona AAala wujoohihim ila jahannama olaika sharrun makanan waadallu sabeelan
Yusuf Ali 34: Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray.
Mohsin Khan: 34: Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces, such will be in an evil state, and most astray from the (Straight) Path.
Saheeh: 34: The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way.
Urdu 34: جو لوگ مونہوں کے بل گھسیٹ کر جہنم میں ڈالیں جائیں گے یہی برے درجے والے ہیں اور بہت ہی بڑے گمراہ ہیں


35  
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُ أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ وَزِيرًا
Transliteration 35: Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba wajaAAalna maAAahu akhahu haroona wazeeran
Yusuf Ali 35: (Before this,) We sent Moses The Book, and appointed his brother Aaron with him as minister;
Mohsin Khan: 35: And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)], and placed his brother Harun (Aaron) with him as a helper;
Saheeh: 35: And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.
Urdu 35: اور البتہ تحقیق ہم نے موسیٰ کو کتاب دی اور ہم نے اس کے ساتھ اس کے بھائی ہارون کو وزیر بنایا


36  
فَقُلْنَا اذْهَبَا إِلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَاهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا
Transliteration 36: Faqulna ithhaba ila alqawmi allatheena kaththaboo biayatina fadammarnahum tadmeeran
Yusuf Ali 36: And We command: "Go ye both, to the people who have rejected our Signs:" And those (people) We destroyed with utter destruction.
Mohsin Khan: 36: And We said: "Go you both to the people who have denied Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)." Then We destroyed them with utter destruction.
Saheeh: 36: And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.
Urdu 36: پھر ہم نے کہا تم دونو ان لوگوں کی طرف جاؤ جنہو ں نے ہماری آیتیں جھٹلائی ہیں پھر ہم نے انہیں جڑ سے اکھاڑ کر پھینک دیا


37  
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ آيَةً ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا
Transliteration 37: Waqawma noohin lamma kaththaboo alrrusula aghraqnahum wajaAAalnahum lilnnasi ayatan waaAAtadna lilththalimeena AAathaban aleeman
Yusuf Ali 37: And the people of Noah,- when they rejected the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a Sign for mankind; and We have prepared for (all) wrong-doers a grievous Penalty;-
Mohsin Khan: 37: And Nuh's (Noah) people, when they denied the Messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a sign for mankind. And We have prepared a painful torment for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers).
Saheeh: 37: And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.
Urdu 37: اور نوح کی قوم کوبھی جب انہو ں نے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا تو ہم نے انہیں غرق کر دیا اور ہم نے انہیں لوگوں کے لیے نشانی بنا دیا اور ہم نے ظالموں کے لیے دردناک عذاب تیار کیا ہے


38  
وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا
Transliteration 38: WaAAadan wathamooda waashaba alrrassi waquroonan bayna thalika katheeran
Yusuf Ali 38: As also 'Ad and Thamud, and the Companions of the Rass, and many a generation between them.
Mohsin Khan: 38: And (also) 'Ad and Thamud, and the Dwellers of Ar-Rass, and many generations in between.
Saheeh: 38: And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.
Urdu 38: اور عاد اور ثمود اورکنوئیں والوں کو بھی اوربہت سے دور جو ان کے درمیان تھے


39  
وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْأَمْثَالَ ۖ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا
Transliteration 39: Wakullan darabna lahu alamthala wakullan tabbarna tatbeeran
Yusuf Ali 39: To each one We set forth Parables and examples; and each one We broke to utter annihilation (for their sins).
Mohsin Khan: 39: And for each (of them) We put forward examples (as proofs and lessons), and each (of them) We brought to utter ruin (because of their disbelief and evil deeds).
Saheeh: 39: And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.
Urdu 39: اور ہم نے ہر ایک کو مثالیں دے کر سمجھایا تھا اور سب کو ہم نے ہلاک کر دیا


40  
وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا
Transliteration 40: Walaqad ataw AAala alqaryati allatee omtirat matara alssawi afalam yakoonoo yarawnaha bal kanoo la yarjoona nushooran
Yusuf Ali 40: And the (Unbelievers) must indeed have passed by the town on which was rained a shower of evil: did they not then see it (with their own eyes)? But they fear not the Resurrection.
Mohsin Khan: 40: And indeed they have passed by the town [of Prophet Lut (Lot)] on which was rained the evil rain. Did they (disbelievers) not then see it (with their own eyes)? Nay! But they used not to expect any resurrection.
Saheeh: 40: And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.
Urdu 40: اور یہ اس بستی پر بھی گزرے ہیں جس پر بری طرح پتھر برسائے گئے سو کیا یہ لوگ اسے دیکھتے نہیں رہتے بلکہ یہ لوگ مر کر زندہ ہونے کی امید ہی نہیں رکھتے


41  
وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَـٰذَا الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ رَسُولًا
Transliteration 41: Waitha raawka in yattakhithoonaka illa huzuwan ahatha allathee baAAatha Allahu rasoolan
Yusuf Ali 41: When they see thee, they treat thee no otherwise than in mockery: "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?"
Mohsin Khan: 41: And when they see you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), they treat you only in mockery (saying): "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a Messenger?
Saheeh: 41: And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?
Urdu 41: اور جب یہ لوگ تمہیں دیکھتے ہیں تو بس تم سے مذاق کرنے لگتے ہیں کیا یہی ہے جسےالله نے رسول بنا کر بھیجا


42  
إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَا أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
Transliteration 42: In kada layudilluna AAan alihatina lawla an sabarna AAalayha wasawfa yaAAlamoona heena yarawna alAAathaba man adallu sabeelan
Yusuf Ali 42: "He indeed would well-nigh have misled us from our gods, had it not been that we were constant to them!" - Soon will they know, when they see the Penalty, who it is that is most misled in Path!
Mohsin Khan: 42: "He would have nearly misled us from our alihah (gods), had it not been that we were patient and constant in their worship!" And they will know when they see the torment, who it is that is most astray from the (Right) Path!
Saheeh: 42: He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.
Urdu 42: اس نے تو ہمیں ہمارے معبودوں سے ہٹا ہی دیا ہوتا اگر ہم ان پر قائم نہ رہتے اور انہیں جلدی معلوم ہوجائے گا جب عذاب دیکھیں گے کہ کون شخص گمراہ تھا


43  
أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَـٰهَهُ هَوَاهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا
Transliteration 43: Araayta mani ittakhatha ilahahu hawahu afaanta takoonu AAalayhi wakeelan
Yusuf Ali 43: Seest thou such a one as taketh for his god his own passion (or impulse)? Couldst thou be a disposer of affairs for him?
Mohsin Khan: 43: Have you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) seen him who has taken as his ilah (god) his own vain desire? Would you then be a Wakil (a disposer of his affairs or a watcher) over him?
Saheeh: 43: Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?
Urdu 43: کیا تم نے اس شخص کو دیکھا جس نے اپنا خدا اپنی خوہشات نفسانی کو بنا رکھا ہے پھر کیا تو اس کا ذمہ دار ہو سکتا ہے


44  
أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا
Transliteration 44: Am tahsabu anna aktharahum yasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kaalanAAami bal hum adallu sabeelan
Yusuf Ali 44: Or thinkest thou that most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle;- nay, they are worse astray in Path.
Mohsin Khan: 44: Or do you think that most of them hear or understand? They are only like cattle - nay, they are even farther astray from the Path (i.e. even worse than cattle).
Saheeh: 44: Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.
Urdu 44: یا تو خیال کرتا ہے کہ اکثر ان میں سے سنتے یا سمجھتے ہیں یہ تو محض چوپایوں کی طرح ہیں بلکہ ان سے بھی زیادہ گمراہ ہیں


45  
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا
Transliteration 45: Alam tara ila rabbika kayfa madda alththilla walaw shaa lajaAAalahu sakinan thumma jaAAalna alshshamsa AAalayhi daleelan
Yusuf Ali 45: Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide;
Mohsin Khan: 45: Have you not seen how your Lord spread the shadow. If He willed, He could have made it still - But We have made the sun its guide (i.e. after the sunrise, the shadow shrinks and vanishes at midnoon and then again appears in the afternoon with the decline of the sun, and had there been no sunlight, there would have been no shadow).
Saheeh: 45: Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication.
Urdu 45: کیا تو نے اپنے رب کی طرف نہیں دیکھا کہ اس نے سایہ کو کیسے پھیلایا ہے اور اگر چاہتا تو اسے ٹھہرا رکھتا پھر ہم نے سورج کو اس کا سبب بنا دیا ہے


46  
ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَاهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا
Transliteration 46: Thumma qabadnahu ilayna qabdan yaseeran
Yusuf Ali 46: Then We draw it in towards Ourselves,- a contraction by easy stages.
Mohsin Khan: 46: Then We withdraw it to Us a gradual concealed withdrawal.
Saheeh: 46: Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp.
Urdu 46: پھر ہم اسے آہستہ آہستہ اپنی طرف سمیٹتے ہیں


47  
وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُورًا
Transliteration 47: Wahuwa allathee jaAAala lakumu allayla libasan waalnnawma subatan wajaAAala alnnahara nushooran
Yusuf Ali 47: And He it is Who makes the Night as a Robe for you, and Sleep as Repose, and makes the Day (as it were) a Resurrection.
Mohsin Khan: 47: And it is He Who makes the night a covering for you, and the sleep (as) a repose, and makes the day Nushur (i.e. getting up and going about here and there for daily work, after one's sleep at night, or like resurrection after one's death).
Saheeh: 47: And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection.
Urdu 47: اور وہی ہے جس نے تمہارے لیے رات کو اوڑھنا اور نیند کو راحت بنا دیا اور دن چلنے پھرنے کے لیے بنایا


48  
وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا
Transliteration 48: Wahuwa allathee arsala alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi waanzalna mina alssamai maan tahooran
Yusuf Ali 48: And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,-
Mohsin Khan: 48: And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain); and We send down pure water from the sky.
Saheeh: 48: And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water
Urdu 48: اوروہی تو ہے جو اپنی رحمت سے پہلے خوشخبری لانے والی ہوائیں چلاتا ہے اور ہم نے آسمان سے پاک پانی نازل فرمایا


49  
لِّنُحْيِيَ بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَا أَنْعَامًا وَأَنَاسِيَّ كَثِيرًا
Transliteration 49: Linuhyiya bihi baldatan maytan wanusqiyahu mimma khalaqna anAAaman waanasiyya katheeran
Yusuf Ali 49: That with it We may give life to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created,- cattle and men in great numbers.
Mohsin Khan: 49: That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give to drink thereof many of the cattle and men that We had created.
Saheeh: 49: That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.
Urdu 49: تاکہ ہم اس سے مرے ہوئے شہر کو زندہ کریں اور اسے اپنی پیدا کی ہوئی چیزوں، چارپایوں اوربہت سے آدمیوں کوپلائیں


50  
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَاهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا فَأَبَىٰ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا
Transliteration 50: Walaqad sarrafnahu baynahum liyaththakkaroo faaba aktharu alnnasi illa kufooran
Yusuf Ali 50: And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude.
Mohsin Khan: 50: And indeed We have distributed it (rain or water) amongst them in order that they may remember (the Grace of Allah,) but most men (refuse to accept the Truth or Faith and) accept nothing but disbelief or ingratitude.
Saheeh: 50: And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.
Urdu 50: اور ہم نے اسے لوگوں میں بانٹ دیا ہے تاکہ نصیحت حاصل کریں پس بہت سے آدمی ناشکری کیے بغیر نہ رہے


51  
وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَّذِيرًا
Transliteration 51: Walaw shina labaAAathna fee kulli qaryatin natheeran
Yusuf Ali 51: Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every centre of population.
Mohsin Khan: 51: And had We willed, We would have raised a warner in every town.
Saheeh: 51: And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.
Urdu 51: اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو ہر گاؤں میں ایک ڈرانے والا بھیج دیتے


52  
فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُم بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا
Transliteration 52: Fala tutiAAi alkafireena wajahidhum bihi jihadan kabeeran
Yusuf Ali 52: Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an).
Mohsin Khan: 52: So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them (by preaching) with the utmost endeavour with it (the Qur'an).
Saheeh: 52: So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving.
Urdu 52: پس کافروں کا کہا نہ مان اس کے ساتھ بڑے زور سے ان کا مقابلہ کر


53  
 ۞ وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ هَـٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَـٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا
Transliteration 53: Wahuwa allathee maraja albahrayni hatha AAathbun furatun wahatha milhun ojajun wajaAAala baynahuma barzakhan wahijran mahjooran
Yusuf Ali 53: It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed.
Mohsin Khan: 53: And it is He Who has let free the two seas (kinds of water): this is palatable and sweet, and that is salt and bitter; and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them.
Saheeh: 53: And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.
Urdu 53: اور وہی ہے جس نے دو دریاؤں کو آپس میں ملا دیا یہ میٹھا خوشگوار ہے او ریہ کھاری کڑوا ہے اوران دونوں میں ایک پردہ اور مستحکم آڑ بنا دی


54  
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا
Transliteration 54: Wahuwa allathee khalaqa mina almai basharan fajaAAalahu nasaban wasihran wakana rabbuka qadeeran
Yusuf Ali 54: It is He Who has created man from water: then has He established relationships of lineage and marriage: for thy Lord has power (over all things).
Mohsin Khan: 54: And it is He Who has created man from water, and has appointed for him kindred by blood, and kindred by marriage. And your Lord is Ever All-Powerful to do what He wills.
Saheeh: 54: And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].
Urdu 54: اوروہی ہے جس نے انسان کو پانی سے پیدا کیا پھر ا س کے لیے رشتہ نسب اور دامادی قائم کیا اور تیرا رب ہر چیز پر قادر ہے


55  
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا
Transliteration 55: WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAuhum wala yadurruhum wakana alkafiru AAala rabbihi thaheeran
Yusuf Ali 55: Yet do they worship, besides Allah, things that can neither profit them nor harm them: and the Misbeliever is a helper (of Evil), against his own Lord!
Mohsin Khan: 55: And they (disbelievers, polytheists) worship besides Allah that which can neither profit them nor harm them; and the disbeliever is ever a helper (of the Satan) against his Lord.
Saheeh: 55: But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].
Urdu 55: اور وہ الله کے سوا ایسے کو پوجتے ہیں جو انہیں نہ نفع دے سکتے ہیں نہ نقصان پہنچا سکتے ہیں اور کافر اپنے رب کی طرف پیٹھ پھیرنے والا ہے


56  
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا
Transliteration 56: Wama arsalnaka illa mubashshiran wanatheeran
Yusuf Ali 56: But thee We only sent to give glad tidings and admonition.
Mohsin Khan: 56: And We have sent you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) only as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner.
Saheeh: 56: And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.
Urdu 56: اور ہم نےتمہیں محض خوشخبری دینے والا اور ڈرانے والا بنا کر بھیجا ہے


57  
قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَاءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا
Transliteration 57: Qul ma asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin illa man shaa an yattakhitha ila rabbihi sabeelan
Yusuf Ali 57: Say: "No reward do I ask of you for it but this: that each one who will may take a (straight) Path to his Lord."
Mohsin Khan: 57: Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (that which I have brought from my Lord and its preaching), save that whosoever wills may take a Path to his Lord.
Saheeh: 57: Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."
Urdu 57: کہہ دو میں اس پر تم سے کوئی مزدوری نہیں مانگتا مگر جو شخص اپنے رب کی طرف راستہ معلوم کرنا چاہے


58  
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا
Transliteration 58: Watawakkal AAala alhayyi allathee la yamootu wasabbih bihamdihi wakafa bihi bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeeran
Yusuf Ali 58: And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;-
Mohsin Khan: 58: And put your trust (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) in the Ever Living One Who dies not, and glorify His Praises, and Sufficient is He as the All-Knower of the sins of His slaves,
Saheeh: 58: And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted -
Urdu 58: اورتم اس زندہ خدا پر بھروسہ رکھو جو کبھی نہ مرے گا اور اس کی تسبیح اورحمد کرتے رہو اور وہ اپنے بندوں کے گناہوں سے کافی خبردار ہے


59  
الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۚ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ فَاسْأَلْ بِهِ خَبِيرًا
Transliteration 59: Allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi alrrahmanu faisal bihi khabeeran
Yusuf Ali 59: He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things).
Mohsin Khan: 59: Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days. Then He (Istawa ) rose over the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). The Most Gracious (Allah)! Ask Him (O Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم , concerning His Qualities: His rising over His Throne, His creations, etc.), as He is Al-Khabir (The All-Knower of everything i.e. Allah).
Saheeh: 59: He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed.
Urdu 59: جس نے آسمان اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان میں ہے چھ دن میں بنایا پھر عرش پر قائم ہوا وہ رحمنٰ ہے پس ا س کی شان کسی خبردار سے پوچھو


60  
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ قَالُوا وَمَا الرَّحْمَـٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا ۩
Transliteration 60: Waitha qeela lahumu osjudoo lilrrahmani qaloo wama alrrahmanu anasjudu lima tamuruna wazadahum nufooran
Yusuf Ali 60: When it is said to them, "Prostrate to (Allah) Most Gracious!", they say, "And what is (Allah) Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to that which thou commandest us?" And it increases their flight (from the Truth).
Mohsin Khan: 60: And when it is said to them: "Prostrate yourselves to the Most Gracious (Allah)! they say: "And what is the Most Gracious? Shall we fall down in prostration to that which you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) command us?" And it increases in them only aversion.
Saheeh: 60: And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.
Urdu 60: اورجب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ رحمنٰ کو سجدہ کرو توکہتے ہیں رحمنٰ کیا ہے کیا ہم اسے سجدہ کریں جس کے لیے تو کہہ دے اور اس سے انہیں اور زیادہ نفرت ہوتی ہے


61  
تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُّنِيرًا
Transliteration 61: Tabaraka allathee jaAAala fee alssamai buroojan wajaAAala feeha sirajan waqamaran muneeran
Yusuf Ali 61: Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light;
Mohsin Khan: 61: Blessed be He Who has placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp (sun), and a moon giving light.
Saheeh: 61: Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.
Urdu 61: بڑا برکت والا ہے وہ جس نے آسمان میں ستارے بنائے اور اس میں چراغ اور چمکتا ہوا چاند بھی بنایا


62  
وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا
Transliteration 62: Wahuwa allathee jaAAala allayla waalnnahara khilfatan liman arada an yaththakkara aw arada shukooran
Yusuf Ali 62: And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude.
Mohsin Khan: 62: And He it is Who has put the night and the day in succession, for such who desires to remember or desires to show his gratitude.
Saheeh: 62: And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.
Urdu 62: اور وہی ہے جس نے رات اور دن یکے بعد دیگرے آنے والے بنائے یہ اس کے لیے ہے جو سمجھنا چاہے یا شکر کرنا چاہے


63  
وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا
Transliteration 63: WaAAibadu alrrahmani allatheena yamshoona AAala alardi hawnan waitha khatabahumu aljahiloona qaloo salaman
Yusuf Ali 63: And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!";
Mohsin Khan: 63: And the (faithful) slaves of the Most Gracious (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness.
Saheeh: 63: And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,
Urdu 63: اور رحمنٰ کے بندے وہ ہیں جو زمین پردبے پاؤں چلتے ہیں اورجب ان سے بے سمجھ لوگ بات کریں تو کہتے ہیں سلام ہے


64  
وَالَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَامًا
Transliteration 64: Waallatheena yabeetoona lirabbihim sujjadan waqiyaman
Yusuf Ali 64: Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing;
Mohsin Khan: 64: And those who spend the night in worship of their Lord, prostrate and standing.
Saheeh: 64: And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]
Urdu 64: اور وہ لوگ جو اپنے رب کے سامنے سجدہ میں اور کھڑے ہوکر رات گزارتے ہیں


65  
وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا
Transliteration 65: Waallatheena yaqooloona rabbana isrif AAanna AAathaba jahannama inna AAathabaha kana gharaman
Yusuf Ali 65: Those who say, "Our Lord! avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous,-
Mohsin Khan: 65: And those who say: "Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of Hell. Verily its torment is ever an inseparable, permanent punishment."
Saheeh: 65: And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering;
Urdu 65: اور وہ لوگ جو کہتے ہیں اے ہمارے رب ہم سے دوزخ کا عذاب دور کر دے بے شک اس کا عذاب پوری تباہی ہے


66  
إِنَّهَا سَاءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا
Transliteration 66: Innaha saat mustaqarran wamuqaman
Yusuf Ali 66: "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in";
Mohsin Khan: 66: Evil indeed it (Hell) is as an abode and as a place to rest in.
Saheeh: 66: Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."
Urdu 66: بے شک وہ برا ٹھکانا اوربڑی قیام گاہ ہے


67  
وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ قَوَامًا
Transliteration 67: Waallatheena itha anfaqoo lam yusrifoo walam yaqturoo wakana bayna thalika qawaman
Yusuf Ali 67: Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes);
Mohsin Khan: 67: And those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium (way) between those (extremes).
Saheeh: 67: And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate
Urdu 67: اوروہ لوگ جب خرچ کرتے ہیں تو فضول خرچی نہیں کرتے اور نہ تنگی کرتے ہیں اور ان کا خرچ ان دونوں کے درمیان اعتدال پر ہوتا ہے


68  
وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا
Transliteration 68: Waallatheena la yadAAoona maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara wala yaqtuloona alnnafsa allatee harrama Allahu illa bialhaqqi wala yaznoona waman yafAAal thalika yalqa athaman
Yusuf Ali 68: Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment.
Mohsin Khan: 68: And those who invoke not any other ilah (god) along with Allah, nor kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse - and whoever does this shall receive the punishment.
Saheeh: 68: And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.
Urdu 68: اوروہ جو الله کے سوا کسی اور معبود کونہیں پکارتے اور اس شخص کوناحق قتل نہیں کرتے جسے الله نے حرام کر دیا ہے اور زنا نہیں کرتے اور جس شخص نے یہ کیا وہ گناہ میں جا پڑا


69  
يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا
Transliteration 69: YudaAAaf lahu alAAathabu yawma alqiyamati wayakhlud feehi muhanan
Yusuf Ali 69: (But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,-
Mohsin Khan: 69: The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace;
Saheeh: 69: Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -
Urdu 69: قیامت کے دن اسے دگنا عذاب ہو گا اس میں ذلیل ہو کر پڑا رہے گا


70  
إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولَـٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
Transliteration 70: Illa man taba waamana waAAamila AAamalan salihan faolaika yubaddilu Allahu sayyiatihim hasanatin wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman
Yusuf Ali 70: Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful,
Mohsin Khan: 70: Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Saheeh: 70: Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
Urdu 70: مگر جس نے توبہ کی اور ایمان لایا اور نیک کام کیے سو انہیں الله برائیوں کی جگہ بھلائیاں بدل دے گا اور الله بخشنے والا مہربان ہے


71  
وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتَابًا
Transliteration 71: Waman taba waAAamila salihan fainnahu yatoobu ila Allahi mataban
Yusuf Ali 71: And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion;-
Mohsin Khan: 71: And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds; then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance.
Saheeh: 71: And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance.
Urdu 71: اور جس نے توبہ کی اور نیک کام کیے تو وہ الله کی طرف رجوع کرتا ہے


72  
وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِاللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا كِرَامًا
Transliteration 72: Waallatheena la yashhadoona alzzoora waitha marroo biallaghwi marroo kiraman
Yusuf Ali 72: Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance);
Mohsin Khan: 72: And those who do not bear witness to falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity.
Saheeh: 72: And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.
Urdu 72: اور جو بے ہودہ باتوں میں شامل نہیں ہوتے اور جب بیہودہ باتوں کے پاس سے گزریں تو شریفانہ طور سے گزرتے ہیں


73  
وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا
Transliteration 73: Waallatheena itha thukkiroo biayati rabbihim lam yakhirroo AAalayha summan waAAumyanan
Yusuf Ali 73: Those who, when they are admonished with the Signs of their Lord, droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind;
Mohsin Khan: 73: And those who, when they are reminded of the Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat.
Saheeh: 73: And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.
Urdu 73: اور وہ لوگ جب انہیں ان کے رب کی آیتوں سے سمجھایا جاتا ہے تو ان پر بہرے اندھے ہو کر نہیں گرتے


74  
وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Transliteration 74: Waallatheena yaqooloona rabbana hab lana min azwajina wathurriyyatina qurrata aAAyunin waijAAalna lilmuttaqeena imaman
Yusuf Ali 74: And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous."
Mohsin Khan: 74: And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders of the Muttaqun(the pious. See V.2:2)."
Saheeh: 74: And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."
Urdu 74: اور وہ جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہمارے رب ہمیں ہماری بیویوں اور اولاد کی طرف سے آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک عطا فرما اور ہمیں پرہیزگاروں کا پیشوا بنا دے


75  
أُولَـٰئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَامًا
Transliteration 75: Olaika yujzawna alghurfata bima sabaroo wayulaqqawna feeha tahiyyatan wasalaman
Yusuf Ali 75: Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace,
Mohsin Khan: 75: Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect.
Saheeh: 75: Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace.
Urdu 75: یہی لوگ ہیں جنہیں ان کے صبر کے بدلہ میں جنت کے بالا خانے دیے جائیں گے اور ان کا وہاں دعا اور سلام سے استقبال کیا جائے گا


76  
خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا
Transliteration 76: Khalideena feeha hasunat mustaqarran wamuqaman
Yusuf Ali 76: Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an abode and place of rest!
Mohsin Khan: 76: Abiding therein - excellent it is as an abode, and as a place to rest in.
Saheeh: 76: Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.
Urdu 76: اس میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہوں گے ٹھیرنے اور رہنے کی خوب جگہ ہے


77  
قُلْ مَا يَعْبَأُ بِكُمْ رَبِّي لَوْلَا دُعَاؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًا
Transliteration 77: Qul ma yaAAbao bikum rabbee lawla duAAaokum faqad kaththabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizaman
Yusuf Ali 77: Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!"
Mohsin Khan: 77: Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to the disbelievers): "My Lord pays attention to you only because of your invocation to Him. But now you have indeed denied (Him). So the torment will be yours for ever (inseparable, permanent punishment)."
Saheeh: 77: Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent.
Urdu 77: کہہ دو میرا رب تمہاری پروا نہیں کرتا اگرتم اسے نہ پکارو سو تم جھٹلا توچکے ہو پھر اب تو اس کا وبال پڑ کر رہے گا
