Transliteration 1: Yaseen
Yusuf Ali 1: Ya Sin.
Mohsin Khan: 1: Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
Urdu 1: یسۤ


2  
وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِيمِ
Transliteration 2: Waalqurani alhakeemi
Yusuf Ali 2: By the Qur'an, full of Wisdom,-
Mohsin Khan: 2: By the Qur'an, full of wisdom (i.e. full of laws, evidence, and proofs),
Urdu 2: قرآن حکمت والے کی قم ہے


3  
إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Transliteration 3: Innaka lamina almursaleena
Yusuf Ali 3: Thou art indeed one of the messengers,
Mohsin Khan: 3: Truly, you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) are one of the Messengers,
Urdu 3: بے شک آپ رسولوں میں سے ہیں


4  
عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
Transliteration 4: AAala siratin mustaqeemin
Yusuf Ali 4: On a Straight Way.
Mohsin Khan: 4: On the Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism).
Urdu 4: سیدھے راستے پر


5  
تَنزِيلَ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ
Transliteration 5: Tanzeela alAAazeezi alrraheemi
Yusuf Ali 5: It is a Revelation sent down by (Him), the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful.
Mohsin Khan: 5: (This is a Revelation) sent down by the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful,
Urdu 5: غالب رحمت والے کا اتارا ہوا ہے


6  
لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًا مَّا أُنذِرَ آبَاؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَافِلُونَ
Transliteration 6: Litunthira qawman ma onthira abaohum fahum ghafiloona
Yusuf Ali 6: In order that thou mayest admonish a people, whose fathers had received no admonition, and who therefore remain heedless (of the Signs of Allah).
Mohsin Khan: 6: In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless.
Urdu 6: تاکہ آپ اس قوم کو ڈرائیں جن کے باپ دادا نہیں ڈرائے گئے سو وہ غافل ہیں


7  
لَقَدْ حَقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Transliteration 7: Laqad haqqa alqawlu AAala aktharihim fahum la yuminoona
Yusuf Ali 7: The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe.
Mohsin Khan: 7: Indeed the Word (of punishment) has proved true against most of them, so they will not believe.
Urdu 7: ان میں سے اکثر پر خدا کافرمان پورا ہو چکا ہے پس وہ ایمان نہیں لائیں گے


8  
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ أَغْلَالًا فَهِيَ إِلَى الْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ
Transliteration 8: Inna jaAAalna fee aAAnaqihim aghlalan fahiya ila alathqani fahum muqmahoona
Yusuf Ali 8: We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see).
Mohsin Khan: 8: Verily We have put on their necks iron collars reaching to the chins, so that their heads are raised up.
Urdu 8: بے شک ہم نے ان کی گردنوں میں طوق ڈال دیے ہیں پس وہ ٹھوڑیوں تک ہیں سو وہ اوپر کو سر اٹھائے ہوئے ہیں


9  
وَجَعَلْنَا مِن بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَأَغْشَيْنَاهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ
Transliteration 9: WajaAAalna min bayni aydeehim saddan wamin khalfihim saddan faaghshaynahum fahum la yubsiroona
Yusuf Ali 9: And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see.
Mohsin Khan: 9: And We have put a barrier before them, and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up, so that they cannot see.
Urdu 9: اور ہم نے ان کے سامنے ایک دیواربنادی ہے اور ان کے پیچھے بھی ایک دیوارہے پھر ہم نے انہیں ڈھانک دیا ہے کہ وہ دیکھ نہیں سکتے


10  
وَسَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Transliteration 10: Wasawaon AAalayhim aanthartahum am lam tunthirhum la yuminoona
Yusuf Ali 10: The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe.
Mohsin Khan: 10: It is the same to them whether you warn them or you warn them not, they will not believe.
Urdu 10: اور ان پر برابر ہے کیا آپ ان کو ڈرائیں یا نہ ڈرائیں وہ ایمان نہیں لائیں گے


11  
إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمَـٰنَ بِالْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ
Transliteration 11: Innama tunthiru mani ittabaAAa alththikra wakhashiya alrrahmana bialghaybi fabashshirhu bimaghfiratin waajrin kareemin
Yusuf Ali 11: Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous.
Mohsin Khan: 11: You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Qur'an), and fears the Most Gracious (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise).
Urdu 11: بے شک آپ اسی کو ڈرا سکتے ہیں جو نصیحت کی پیروی کرے اوربن دیکھے رحمان سے ڈرے پس خوشخبری دے دو اس کو بخشش اوراجر کی جو عزت والا ہے


12  
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُّبِينٍ
Transliteration 12: Inna nahnu nuhyee almawta wanaktubu ma qaddamoo waatharahum wakulla shayin ahsaynahu fee imamin mubeenin
Yusuf Ali 12: Verily We shall give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before and that which they leave behind, and of all things have We taken account in a clear Book (of evidence).
Mohsin Khan: 12: Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book.
Urdu 12: بے شک ہم ہی مردوں کو زندہ کریں گے اور جو انھوں نے آگے بھیجا اور جو پیچھے چھوڑا اس کو لکھتے ہیں اور ہم نے ہر چیز کو کتاب واضح (لوح محفوظ) میں محفوظ کر رکھا ہے


13  
وَاضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصْحَابَ الْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَاءَهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
Transliteration 13: Waidrib lahum mathalan ashaba alqaryati ith jaaha almursaloona
Yusuf Ali 13: Set forth to them, by way of a parable, the (story of) the Companions of the City. Behold!, there came messengers to it.
Mohsin Khan: 13: And put forward to them a similitude: the (story of the) dwellers of the town, [it is said that the town was Antioch (Antakiya)], when there came Messengers to them.
Urdu 13: اور ان سے بستی والوں کا حال مشال کے طور پر بیان کر جب کہ ان کے پاس رسول آئے


14  
إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ اثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ
Transliteration 14: Ith arsalna ilayhimu ithnayni fakaththaboohuma faAAazzazna bithalithin faqaloo inna ilaykum mursaloona
Yusuf Ali 14: When We (first) sent to them two messengers, they rejected them: But We strengthened them with a third: they said, "Truly, we have been sent on a mission to you."
Mohsin Khan: 14: When We sent to them two Messengers, they belied them both; so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: "Verily we have been sent to you as Messengers."
Urdu 14: جب ہم نے ان کے پاس دو کو بھیجا انھوں نے ان کو جھٹلایا پھر ہم نے تیسرے سے مدد کی پھر انہوں نے کہا ہم تمہاری طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں


15  
قَالُوا مَا أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَا أَنزَلَ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ مِن شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ
Transliteration 15: Qaloo ma antum illa basharun mithluna wama anzala alrrahmanu min shayin in antum illa takthiboona
Yusuf Ali 15: The (people) said: "Ye are only men like ourselves; and (Allah) Most Gracious sends no sort of revelation: ye do nothing but lie."
Mohsin Khan: 15: They (people of the town) said: "You are only human beings like ourselves, and the Most Gracious (Allah) has revealed nothing. You are only telling lies."
Urdu 15: انہوں نے کہا تم کچھ اور نہیں ہو مگر ہماری طرح انسان ہو اور رحمان نے کوئی چیز نہیں اتاری تم اور کچھ نہیں ہو مگر جھوٹ بول رہے ہو


16  
قَالُوا رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّا إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ
Transliteration 16: Qaloo rabbuna yaAAlamu inna ilaykum lamursaloona
Yusuf Ali 16: They said: "Our Lord doth know that we have been sent on a mission to you:
Mohsin Khan: 16: The Messengers said: "Our Lord knows that we have been sent as Messengers to you,
Urdu 16: انہوں نے کہا ہمارا رب جانتا ہے کہ ہم تمہاری طرف بھیجے ہوئے ہیں


17  
وَمَا عَلَيْنَا إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ
Transliteration 17: Wama AAalayna illa albalaghu almubeenu
Yusuf Ali 17: "And our duty is only to proclaim the clear Message."
Mohsin Khan: 17: "And our duty is only to convey plainly (the Message)."
Urdu 17: اورہمارے ذمے کھلم کھلا پہنچا دینا ہی ہے


18  
قَالُوا إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُوا لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Transliteration 18: Qaloo inna tatayyarna bikum lain lam tantahoo lanarjumannakum walayamassannakum minna AAathabun aleemun
Yusuf Ali 18: The (people) said: "for us, we augur an evil omen from you: if ye desist not, we will certainly stone you. And a grievous punishment indeed will be inflicted on you by us."
Mohsin Khan: 18: They (people) said: "For us, we see an evil omen from you: if you cease not, we will surely stone you, and a painful torment will touch you from us."
Urdu 18: انہوں نے کہا ہم نے تو تمہیں منحوس سمجھا ہے اگر تم باز نہ آؤ گے توہم تمہیں سنگسار کر دیں گے اور تمہیں ہمارے ہاتھ سے ضرور دردناک عذاب پہنچے گا


19  
قَالُوا طَائِرُكُم مَّعَكُمْ ۚ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ
Transliteration 19: Qaloo tairukum maAAakum ain thukkirtum bal antum qawmun musrifoona
Yusuf Ali 19: They said: "Your evil omens are with yourselves: (deem ye this an evil omen). If ye are admonished? Nay, but ye are a people transgressing all bounds!"
Mohsin Khan: 19: They (Messengers) said: "Your evil omens be with you! (Do you call it "evil omen") because you are admonished? Nay, but you are a people Musrifun (transgressing all bounds by committing all kinds of great sins, and by disobeying Allah).
Urdu 19: انہوں نے کہا تمہاری نحوست تو تمہارے ساتھ ہے کیا اگر تمہیں نصیحت کی جائے (تو اسے نحوست سمجھتے ہو) بلکہ تم حد سے بڑھنے والے ہو


20  
وَجَاءَ مِنْ أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اتَّبِعُوا الْمُرْسَلِينَ
Transliteration 20: Wajaa min aqsa almadeenati rajulun yasAAa qala ya qawmi ittabiAAoo almursaleena
Yusuf Ali 20: Then there came running, from the farthest part of the City, a man, saying, "O my people! Obey the messengers:
Mohsin Khan: 20: And there came a man running from the farthest part of the town. He said: "O my people! Obey the Messengers.
Urdu 20: اور شہر کے پرلے کنارے سے ایک آدمی دوڑتا ہوا آیا کہا اے میری قوم رسولوں کی پیروی کرو


21  
اتَّبِعُوا مَن لَّا يَسْأَلُكُمْ أَجْرًا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ
Transliteration 21: IttabiAAoo man la yasalukum ajran wahum muhtadoona
Yusuf Ali 21: "Obey those who ask no reward of you (for themselves), and who have themselves received Guidance.
Mohsin Khan: 21: "Obey those who ask no wages of you (for themselves), and who are rightly guided.
Urdu 21: ان کی پیروی کرو جو تم سےکوئی اجر نہیں مانگتے اوروہ ہدایت پانے والے ہیں


22  
وَمَا لِيَ لَا أَعْبُدُ الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Transliteration 22: Wama liya la aAAbudu allathee fataranee wailayhi turjaAAoona
Yusuf Ali 22: "It would not be reasonable in me if I did not serve Him Who created me, and to Whom ye shall (all) be brought back.
Mohsin Khan: 22: "And why should I not worship Him (Allah Alone) Who has created me and to Whom you shall be returned.
Urdu 22: اور میرے لیے کیا ہے کہ میں اس کی عبادت نہ کروں جس نے مجھے پیدا کیا ہے اور اسی کی طرف تم لوٹائے جاؤ گے


23  
أَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُنقِذُونِ
Transliteration 23: Aattakhithu min doonihi alihatan in yuridni alrrahmanu bidurrin la tughni AAannee shafaAAatuhum shayan wala yunqithooni
Yusuf Ali 23: "Shall I take (other) gods besides Him? If (Allah) Most Gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me.
Mohsin Khan: 23: "Shall I take besides Him alihah (gods)? If the Most Gracious (Allah) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me?
Urdu 23: کیا میں اس کے سوا اوروں کو معبود بناؤں کہ اگر رحمان مجھے تکلیف دینے کا ارادہ کرے تو ان کی سفارش کچھ بھی میرے کام نہ آئے اور نہ وہ مجھے چھڑا سکیں


24  
إِنِّي إِذًا لَّفِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ
Transliteration 24: Innee ithan lafee dalalin mubeenin
Yusuf Ali 24: "I would indeed, if I were to do so, be in manifest Error.
Mohsin Khan: 24: "Then verily, I should be in plain error.
Urdu 24: بے شک تب میں صریح گمراہی میں ہوں گا


25  
إِنِّي آمَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَاسْمَعُونِ
Transliteration 25: Innee amantu birabbikum faismaAAooni
Yusuf Ali 25: "For me, I have faith in the Lord of you (all): listen, then, to me!"
Mohsin Khan: 25: "Verily! I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me!"
Urdu 25: بے شک میں تمہارے رب پر ایمان لایا پس میری بات سنو


26  
قِيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ
Transliteration 26: Qeela odkhuli aljannata qala ya layta qawmee yaAAlamoona
Yusuf Ali 26: It was said: "Enter thou the Garden." He said: "Ah me! Would that my People knew (what I know)!-
Mohsin Khan: 26: It was said (to him when the disbelievers killed him): "Enter Paradise." He said: "Would that my people knew
Urdu 26: کہا گیا جنت میں داخل ہو جا اس نے کہا اے کاش! میری قوم بھی جان لیتی


27  
بِمَا غَفَرَ لِي رَبِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ
Transliteration 27: Bima ghafara lee rabbee wajaAAalanee mina almukrameena
Yusuf Ali 27: "For that my Lord has granted me Forgiveness and has enrolled me among those held in honour!"
Mohsin Khan: 27: "That my Lord (Allah) has forgiven me, and made me of the honoured ones!"
Urdu 27: کہ میرے رب نے مجھے بخش دیا اور مجھے عزت والوں میں کر دیا


28  
 ۞ وَمَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ مِن بَعْدِهِ مِن جُندٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ
Transliteration 28: Wama anzalna AAala qawmihi min baAAdihi min jundin mina alssamai wama kunna munzileena
Yusuf Ali 28: And We sent not down against his People, after him, any hosts from heaven, nor was it needful for Us so to do.
Mohsin Khan: 28: And We sent not against his people after him a host from the heaven, nor was it needful for Us to send (such a thing).
Urdu 28: اور ہم نے اس کی قوم پر اس کے بعد کوئی فوج آسمان سے نہ اتاری اور نہ ہم اتارنے والے تھے


29  
إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ
Transliteration 29: In kanat illa sayhatan wahidatan faitha hum khamidoona
Yusuf Ali 29: It was no more than a single mighty Blast, and behold! they were (like ashes) quenched and silent.
Mohsin Khan: 29: It was but one Saihah (shout) and lo! they (all) were still (silent,dead,destroyed).
Urdu 29: صرف ایک ہی چیخ تھی کہ جس سے وہ بجھ کر رہ گئے


30  
يَا حَسْرَةً عَلَى الْعِبَادِ ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Transliteration 30: Ya hasratan AAala alAAibadi ma yateehim min rasoolin illa kanoo bihi yastahzioona
Yusuf Ali 30: Ah! Alas for (My) Servants! There comes not a messenger to them but they mock him!
Mohsin Khan: 30: Alas for mankind! There never came a Messenger to them but they used to mock at him.
Urdu 30: کیا افسوس ہے بندوں پر ان کے پاس ایساکوئی بھی رسول نہیں آیا جس سے انہوں نے ہنسی نہ کی ہو


31  
أَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ
Transliteration 31: Alam yaraw kam ahlakna qablahum mina alqurooni annahum ilayhim la yarjiAAoona
Yusuf Ali 31: See they not how many generations before them we destroyed? Not to them will they return:
Mohsin Khan: 31: Do they not see how many of the generations We have destroyed before them? Verily, they will not return to them.
Urdu 31: کیا یہ نہیں دیکھ چکے کہ ہم نے ان سے پہلے کتنی قوموں کو ہلاک کر دیا وہ ان کے پاس لوٹ کر نہیں آئے


32  
وَإِن كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
Transliteration 32: Wain kullun lamma jameeAAun ladayna muhdaroona
Yusuf Ali 32: But each one of them all - will be brought before Us (for judgment).
Mohsin Khan: 32: And surely, all - everyone of them will be brought before Us.
Urdu 32: اور سب کے سب ہمارے پاس حاضر ہیں


33  
وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمُ الْأَرْضُ الْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَاهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ
Transliteration 33: Waayatun lahumu alardu almaytatu ahyaynaha waakhrajna minha habban faminhu yakuloona
Yusuf Ali 33: A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat.
Mohsin Khan: 33: And a sign for them is the dead land. We give it life, and We bring forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof.
Urdu 33: اور ان کے لیے خشک زمین بھی ایک نشانی ہے جسے ہم نے زندہ کیا اور اس سے اناج نکالا جس سے وہ کھاتے ہیں


34  
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّاتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ الْعُيُونِ
Transliteration 34: WajaAAalna feeha jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin wafajjarna feeha mina alAAuyooni
Yusuf Ali 34: And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein:
Mohsin Khan: 34: And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein.
Urdu 34: اور اس میں ہم نے کھجوروں اور انگوروں کے باغ بنائے اور ان میں چشمے جاری کیے


35  
لِيَأْكُلُوا مِن ثَمَرِهِ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ
Transliteration 35: Liyakuloo min thamarihi wama AAamilathu aydeehim afala yashkuroona
Yusuf Ali 35: That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks?
Mohsin Khan: 35: So that they may eat of the fruit thereof - and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks?
Urdu 35: تاکہ وہ اس کے پھل کھائیں اور یہ چیزیں ان کے ہاتھوں کی بنائی ہوئی نہیں ہیں پھر کیوں شکر نہیں کرتے


36  
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Transliteration 36: Subhana allathee khalaqa alazwaja kullaha mimma tunbitu alardu wamin anfusihim wamimma la yaAAlamoona
Yusuf Ali 36: Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge.
Mohsin Khan: 36: Glory be to Him Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not.
Urdu 36: وہ ذات پاک ہے جس نے زمین سے اگنے والی چیزوں کوگوناگوں بنایا اور خود ان میں سے بھی اور ان چیزوں میں سے بھی جنہیں وہ نہیں جانتے


37  
وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمُ اللَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ
Transliteration 37: Waayatun lahumu allaylu naslakhu minhu alnnahara faitha hum muthlimoona
Yusuf Ali 37: And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;
Mohsin Khan: 37: And a sign for them is the night. We withdraw therefrom the day, and behold, they are in darkness.
Urdu 37: اور ان کے لیے رات بھی ایک نشانی ہے کہ ہم اس کے اوپرسے دن کو اتار دیتے ہیں پھر ناگہاں وہ اندھیرے میں رہ جاتے ہیں


38  
وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ۚ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ
Transliteration 38: Waalshshamsu tajree limustaqarrin laha thalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleemi
Yusuf Ali 38: And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.
Mohsin Khan: 38: And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing.
Urdu 38: اور سورج اپنے ٹھکانے کی طرف چلتا رہتا ہے یہ زبردست خبردار کا اندازہ کیا ہوا ہے


39  
وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدِيمِ
Transliteration 39: Waalqamara qaddarnahu manazila hatta AAada kaalAAurjooni alqadeemi
Yusuf Ali 39: And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk.
Mohsin Khan: 39: And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk.
Urdu 39: اور ہم نے چاند کی منزلیں مقرر کر دی ہیں یہاں تک کہ پرانی ٹہنی کی طرح ہوجاتا ہے


40  
لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنبَغِي لَهَا أَن تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
Transliteration 40: La alshshamsu yanbaghee laha an tudrika alqamara wala allaylu sabiqu alnnahari wakullun fee falakin yasbahoona
Yusuf Ali 40: It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).
Mohsin Khan: 40: It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit.
Urdu 40: نہ سورج کی مجال ہے ہ چاند کو جا پکڑے اور نہ رات ہی دن سے پہلے آ سکتی ہے اور ہر ایک ایک آسمان میں تیرتا پھرتا ہے


41  
وَآيَةٌ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ
Transliteration 41: Waayatun lahum anna hamalna thurriyyatahum fee alfulki almashhooni
Yusuf Ali 41: And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark;
Mohsin Khan: 41: And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)].
Urdu 41: اور ان کے لیے یہ بھی نشانی ہے ہم نے ان کی نسل کوبھری کشتی میں سوار کیا


42  
وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ
Transliteration 42: Wakhalaqna lahum min mithlihi ma yarkaboona
Yusuf Ali 42: And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride.
Mohsin Khan: 42: And We have created for them of the like thereunto, on which they ride.
Urdu 42: اور ان کے لیے اسی طرح کی اور بھی چیزیں بنائی ہیں جن پر وہ سوار ہوتے ہیں


43  
وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ
Transliteration 43: Wain nasha nughriqhum fala sareekha lahum wala hum yunqathoona
Yusuf Ali 43: If it were Our Will, We could drown them: then would there be no helper (to hear their cry), nor could they be delivered,
Mohsin Khan: 43: And if We will, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout (or helper) for them (to hear their cry for help), nor will they be saved.
Urdu 43: اور اگر ہم چاہتے تو انہیں ڈبو دیتے پھر نہ ان کا کوئی فریاد رس ہوتا اور نہ وہ بچائے جاتے


44  
إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَمَتَاعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍ
Transliteration 44: Illa rahmatan minna wamataAAan ila heenin
Yusuf Ali 44: Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time.
Mohsin Khan: 44: Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while.
Urdu 44: مگر یہ ہماری مہربانی ہے اور انہیں ایک مدت تک فائدہ دینا ہے


45  
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّقُوا مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
Transliteration 45: Waitha qeela lahumu ittaqoo ma bayna aydeekum wama khalfakum laAAallakum turhamoona
Yusuf Ali 45: When they are told, "Fear ye that which is before you and that which will be after you, in order that ye may receive Mercy," (they turn back).
Mohsin Khan: 45: And when it is said to them: "Fear of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds)."
Urdu 45: اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ اپنے سامنے اور پیچھے آنے والے عذاب سے ڈرو تاکہ تم پر رحم کیا جائے


46  
وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ آيَةٍ مِّنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ
Transliteration 46: Wama tateehim min ayatin min ayati rabbihim illa kanoo AAanha muAArideena
Yusuf Ali 46: Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom.
Mohsin Khan: 46: And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it.
Urdu 46: اوران کے پاس ان کے رب کی نشانیوں میں سے ایسی کوئی بھی نشانی نہیں آتی جس سے وہ منہ موڑ لیتے ہوں


47  
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ
Transliteration 47: Waitha qeela lahum anfiqoo mimma razaqakumu Allahu qala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo anutAAimu man law yashao Allahu atAAamahu in antum illa fee dalalin mubeenin
Yusuf Ali 47: And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)?- Ye are in nothing but manifest error."
Mohsin Khan: 47: And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error."
Urdu 47: اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہےکہ الله کے رزق میں سے کچھ خرچ کیا کرو تو کافر ایمانداروں سے کہتے ہیں کیا ہم اسے کھلائیں گےکہ اگر الله چاہتا تو خود اسے کھلا سکتا تھا تم جو ہو تو صاف گمراہی میں پڑے ہوئے ہو


48  
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Transliteration 48: Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena
Yusuf Ali 48: Further, they say, "When will this promise (come to pass), if what ye say is true?"
Mohsin Khan: 48: And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?"
Urdu 48: اور کہتے ہیں یہ وعدہ کب ہوگا اگر تم سچے ہو


49  
مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ
Transliteration 49: Ma yanthuroona illa sayhatan wahidatan takhuthuhum wahum yakhissimoona
Yusuf Ali 49: They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves!
Mohsin Khan: 49: They await only but a single Saihah (shout), which will seize them while they are disputing!
Urdu 49: وہ صرف ایک چیخ ہی کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں جو انہیں آ لے گی اور وہ آپس میں جھگڑ رہے ہوں گے


50  
فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
Transliteration 50: Fala yastateeAAoona tawsiyatan wala ila ahlihim yarjiAAoona
Yusuf Ali 50: No (chance) will they then have, by will, to dispose (of their affairs), nor to return to their own people!
Mohsin Khan: 50: Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family.
Urdu 50: پس نہ تو وہ وصیت کر سکیں گے اور نہ اپنے گھر والوں کی طرف واپس جا سکیں گے


51  
وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ
Transliteration 51: Wanufikha fee alssoori faitha hum mina alajdathi ila rabbihim yansiloona
Yusuf Ali 51: The trumpet shall be sounded, when behold! from the sepulchres (men) will rush forth to their Lord!
Mohsin Khan: 51: And the Trumpet will be blown (i.e. the second blowing) and behold from the graves they will come out quickly to their Lord.
Urdu 51: اور صور پھونکا جائے گا تو وہ فوراً اپنی قبروں سے نکل کر اپنے رب کی طرف دوڑے چلے آئیں گے


52  
قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا مَن بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ هَـٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَـٰنُ وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُونَ
Transliteration 52: Qaloo ya waylana man baAAathana min marqadina hatha ma waAAada alrrahmanu wasadaqa almursaloona
Yusuf Ali 52: They will say: "Ah! Woe unto us! Who hath raised us up from our beds of repose?"... (A voice will say:) "This is what (Allah) Most Gracious had promised. And true was the word of the messengers!"
Mohsin Khan: 52: They will say: "Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of sleep." (It will be said to them): "This is what the Most Gracious (Allah) had promised, and the Messengers spoke truth!"
Urdu 52: کہیں گے ہائے افسوس کس نے ہمیں ہماری خوابگاہ سے اٹھایا یہی ہے جو رحمان نے وعدہ کیا تھا اور رسولوں نے سچ کہا تھا


53  
إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
Transliteration 53: In kanat illa sayhatan wahidatan faitha hum jameeAAun ladayna muhdaroona
Yusuf Ali 53: It will be no more than a single Blast, when lo! they will all be brought up before Us!
Mohsin Khan: 53: It will be but a single Saihah (shout), so behold they will all be brought up before Us!
Urdu 53: وہ تو صرف ایک ہی زور کی آواز ہو گی پھر وہ سب ہمارے سامنے حاضر کیے جائیں گے


54  
فَالْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Transliteration 54: Faalyawma la tuthlamu nafsun shayan wala tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona
Yusuf Ali 54: Then, on that Day, not a soul will be wronged in the least, and ye shall but be repaid the meeds of your past Deeds.
Mohsin Khan: 54: This Day (Day of Resurrection), none will be wronged in anything, nor will you be requited anything except that which you used to do.
Urdu 54: پھر اس دن کسی پرکچھ بھی ظلم نہ کیا جائے گا اورتم اسی کا بدلہ پاؤ گے جو کیا کرتے تھے


55  
إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ الْيَوْمَ فِي شُغُلٍ فَاكِهُونَ
Transliteration 55: Inna ashaba aljannati alyawma fee shughulin fakihoona
Yusuf Ali 55: Verily the Companions of the Garden shall that Day have joy in all that they do;
Mohsin Khan: 55: Verily, the dwellers of the Paradise, that Day, will be busy with joyful things.
Urdu 55: بے شک بہشتی اس دن مزہ سے دل بہلا رہے ہوں گے


56  
هُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُهُمْ فِي ظِلَالٍ عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ مُتَّكِئُونَ
Transliteration 56: Hum waazwajuhum fee thilalin AAala alaraiki muttakioona
Yusuf Ali 56: They and their associates will be in groves of (cool) shade, reclining on Thrones (of dignity);
Mohsin Khan: 56: They and their wives will be in pleasant shade, reclining on thrones.
Urdu 56: وہ اوران کی بیویاں سایوں میں تختوں پر تکیہ لگائے ہوئے بیٹھے ہوں گے


57  
لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ
Transliteration 57: Lahum feeha fakihatun walahum ma yaddaAAoona
Yusuf Ali 57: (Every) fruit (enjoyment) will be there for them; they shall have whatever they call for;
Mohsin Khan: 57: They will have therein fruits (of all kinds) and all that they ask for.
Urdu 57: ان کے لیے وہاں میوہ ہوگا اور انہیں ملے گا جو وہ مانگیں گے


58  
سَلَامٌ قَوْلًا مِّن رَّبٍّ رَّحِيمٍ
Transliteration 58: Salamun qawlan min rabbin raheemin
Yusuf Ali 58: "Peace!" - a word (of salutation) from a Lord Most Merciful!
Mohsin Khan: 58: (It will be said to them): Salam (peace be on you) - a Word from the Lord (Allah), Most Merciful.
Urdu 58: پروردگار نہایت رحم والے کی طرف سے انہیں سلام فرمایا جاوے گا


59  
وَامْتَازُوا الْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ
Transliteration 59: Waimtazoo alyawma ayyuha almujrimoona
Yusuf Ali 59: "And O ye in sin! Get ye apart this Day!
Mohsin Khan: 59: (It will be said): "And O you Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Islamic Monotheism, wicked evil ones)! Get you apart this Day (from the believers).
Urdu 59: اے مجرمو! آج الگ ہو جاؤ


60  
 ۞ أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا الشَّيْطَانَ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
Transliteration 60: Alam aAAhad ilaykum ya banee adama an la taAAbudoo alshshaytana innahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeenun
Yusuf Ali 60: "Did I not enjoin on you, O ye Children of Adam, that ye should not worship Satan; for that he was to you an enemy avowed?-
Mohsin Khan: 60: Did I not command you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Shaitan (Satan). Verily, he is a plain enemy to you.
Urdu 60: اے آدم کی اولاد! کیا میں نے تمہیں تاکید نہ کر دی تھی کہ شیطان کی عبادت نہ کرنا کیونکہ وہ تمہارا صریح دشمن ہے


61  
وَأَنِ اعْبُدُونِي ۚ هَـٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ
Transliteration 61: Waani oAAbudoonee hatha siratun mustaqeemun
Yusuf Ali 61: "And that ye should worship Me, (for that) this was the Straight Way?
Mohsin Khan: 61: And that you should worship Me [Alone - Islamic Monotheism, and set up not rivals, associate-gods with Me]. That is the Straight Path.
Urdu 61: اور یہ کہ میری ہی عبادت کرنا یہ سیدھا راستہ ہے


62  
وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْقِلُونَ
Transliteration 62: Walaqad adalla minkum jibillan katheeran afalam takoonoo taAAqiloona
Yusuf Ali 62: "But he did lead astray a great multitude of you. Did ye not, then, understand?
Mohsin Khan: 62: And indeed he (Satan) did lead astray a great multitude of you. Did you not, then, understand?
Urdu 62: اور البتہ اس نے تم میں سے بہت لوگوں کو گمراہ کیا تھا کیا پس تم نہیں سمجھتے تھے


63  
هَـٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ
Transliteration 63: Hathihi jahannamu allatee kuntum tooAAadoona
Yusuf Ali 63: "This is the Hell of which ye were (repeatedly) warned!
Mohsin Khan: 63: This is Hell which you were promised!
Urdu 63: یہی دوزخ ہے جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا تھا


64  
اصْلَوْهَا الْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
Transliteration 64: Islawha alyawma bima kuntum takfuroona
Yusuf Ali 64: "Embrace ye the (fire) this Day, for that ye (persistently) rejected (Truth)."
Mohsin Khan: 64: Burn therein this Day, for that you used to disbelieve.
Urdu 64: آج اس میں داخل ہو جاؤ اس کے بدلے جوتم کفر کیا کرتے تھے


65  
الْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَا أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
Transliteration 65: Alyawma nakhtimu AAala afwahihim watukallimuna aydeehim watashhadu arjuluhum bima kanoo yaksiboona
Yusuf Ali 65: That Day shall We set a seal on their mouths. But their hands will speak to us, and their feet bear witness, to all that they did.
Mohsin Khan: 65: This Day, We shall seal up their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their legs will bear witness to what they used to earn. (It is said that one's left thigh will be the first to bear the witness). [Tafsir At-Tabari,]
Urdu 65: آج ہم ان کے مونہوں پر مہر لگا دیں گے اور ہمارے ساتھ ان کے ہاتھ بولیں گے اور ان کے پاؤں شہادت دیں گے اس پر جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے


66  
وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَاسْتَبَقُوا الصِّرَاطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ
Transliteration 66: Walaw nashao latamasna AAala aAAyunihim faistabaqoo alssirata faanna yubsiroona
Yusuf Ali 66: If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen?
Mohsin Khan: 66: And if it had been Our Will, We would surely have wiped out (blinded) their eyes, so that they would struggle for the Path, how then would they see?
Urdu 66: اور اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان کی آنکھیں مٹاڈالیں پس وہ راستہ کی طرف دوڑیں پھر وہ کیوں کر دیکھ سکیں


67  
وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَمَسَخْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مُضِيًّا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ
Transliteration 67: Walaw nashao lamasakhnahum AAala makanatihim fama istataAAoo mudiyyan wala yarjiAAoona
Yusuf Ali 67: And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (to remain) in their places; then should they have been unable to move about, nor could they have returned (after error).
Mohsin Khan: 67: And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (into animals or lifeless objects) in their places. Then they would have been unable to go forward (move about) nor they could have turned back.
Urdu 67: اور اگر ہم چاہیں تو ان کی صورتیں ان جگہوں پر مسخ کر دیں پس نہ وہ آگے چل سکیں او ر نہ ہی واپس لوٹ سکیں


68  
وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِي الْخَلْقِ ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Transliteration 68: Waman nuAAammirhu nunakkishu fee alkhalqi afala yaAAqiloona
Yusuf Ali 68: If We grant long life to any, We cause him to be reversed in nature: Will they not then understand?
Mohsin Khan: 68: And he whom We grant long life - We reverse him in creation (weakness after strength). Will they not then understand?
Urdu 68: اور ہم جس کی عمر زیادہ کرتے ہیں بناوٹ میں اسے الٹا گھٹاتے چلے جاتے ہیں کیا یہ لوگ نہیں سمجھتے


69  
وَمَا عَلَّمْنَاهُ الشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنبَغِي لَهُ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْآنٌ مُّبِينٌ
Transliteration 69: Wama AAallamnahu alshshiAAra wama yanbaghee lahu in huwa illa thikrun waquranun mubeenun
Yusuf Ali 69: We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear:
Mohsin Khan: 69: And We have not taught him (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) poetry, nor is it suitable for him. This is only a Reminder and a plain Qur'an.
Urdu 69: اور ہم نے نبی کو شعر نہیں سکھایا اور نہ یہ اس کے مناسب ہی تھا یہ تو صرف نصیحت اور واضح قرآن ہے


70  
لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
Transliteration 70: Liyunthira man kana hayyan wayahiqqa alqawlu AAala alkafireena
Yusuf Ali 70: That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth).
Mohsin Khan: 70: That he or it (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم or the Qur'an) may give warning to him who is living (a healthy minded - the believer), and that Word (charge) may be justified against the disbelievers (dead, as they reject the warnings).
Urdu 70: تاکہ جو زندہ ہے اسے ڈرائے اور کافروں پر الزام ثابت ہو جائے


71  
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَا أَنْعَامًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَالِكُونَ
Transliteration 71: Awalam yaraw anna khalaqna lahum mimma AAamilat aydeena anAAaman fahum laha malikoona
Yusuf Ali 71: See they not that it is We Who have created for them - among the things which Our hands have fashioned - cattle, which are under their dominion?-
Mohsin Khan: 71: Do they not see that We have created for them of what Our Hands have created the cattle, so that they are their owners.
Urdu 71: کیا انہوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے ان کے لیے اپنے ہاتھوں سے چار پائے بنائے جن کے وہ مالک ہیں


72  
وَذَلَّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ
Transliteration 72: Wathallalnaha lahum faminha rakoobuhum waminha yakuloona
Yusuf Ali 72: And that We have subjected them to their (use)? of them some do carry them and some they eat:
Mohsin Khan: 72: And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat.
Urdu 72: اور انہیں ان کے بس میں کر دیا ہے پھر ان میں سے کسی پر چڑھتے ہیں اور کسی کو کھاتے ہیں


73  
وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ
Transliteration 73: Walahum feeha manafiAAu wamasharibu afala yashkuroona
Yusuf Ali 73: And they have (other) profits from them (besides), and they get (milk) to drink. Will they not then be grateful?
Mohsin Khan: 73: And they have (other) benefits from them, and they get (milk) to drink. Will they not then be grateful?
Urdu 73: اور ان کے لیے ان میں اور بہت سے فائدے اور پینے کی چیزیں ہیں پھر کیوں شکر نہیں کرتے


74  
وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لَّعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ
Transliteration 74: Waittakhathoo min dooni Allahi alihatan laAAallahum yunsaroona
Yusuf Ali 74: Yet they take (for worship) gods other than Allah, (hoping) that they might be helped!
Mohsin Khan: 74: And they have taken besides Allah alihah (gods), hoping that they might be helped (by those so-called gods).
Urdu 74: اور الله کے سوا انہوں نے اور معبود بنا رکھے ہیں تاکہ وہ ان کی مدد کریں


75  
لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌ مُّحْضَرُونَ
Transliteration 75: La yastateeAAoona nasrahum wahum lahum jundun muhdaroona
Yusuf Ali 75: They have not the power to help them: but they will be brought up (before Our Judgment-seat) as a troop (to be condemned).
Mohsin Khan: 75: They cannot help them, but they will be brought forward as a troop against those who worshipped them (at the time of Reckoning).
Urdu 75: وہ ان کی مدد نہیں کر سکیں گے اور وہ ان کے حق میں ایک فریق (مخالف) ہوں گے جو حاضر کیے جائیں گے


76  
فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
Transliteration 76: Fala yahzunka qawluhum inna naAAlamu ma yusirroona wama yuAAlinoona
Yusuf Ali 76: Let not their speech, then, grieve thee. Verily We know what they hide as well as what they disclose.
Mohsin Khan: 76: So let not their speech, then, grieve you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). Verily, We know what they conceal and what they reveal.
Urdu 76: پھر آپ ان کی بات سے غمزدہ نہ ہوں بے شک ہم جانتے ہیں جو وہ چھپاتے ہیں اور جو ظاہر کرتے ہیں


77  
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الْإِنسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ
Transliteration 77: Awalam yara alinsanu anna khalaqnahu min nutfatin faitha huwa khaseemun mubeenun
Yusuf Ali 77: Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!
Mohsin Khan: 77: Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female sexual discharge - semen drops). Yet behold he (stands forth) as an open opponent.
Urdu 77: کیا آدمی نہیں جانتاکہ ہم نے اسے منی کے ایک قطرے سے بنایا ہے پھر وہ کھلم کھلا دشمن بن کر جھگڑنے لگا


78  
وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِيَ خَلْقَهُ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْيِي الْعِظَامَ وَهِيَ رَمِيمٌ
Transliteration 78: Wadaraba lana mathalan wanasiya khalqahu qala man yuhyee alAAithama wahiya rameemun
Yusuf Ali 78: And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?"
Mohsin Khan: 78: And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones after they are rotten and have become dust?"
Urdu 78: اور ہماری نسبت باتیں بنانے لگا اور اپنا پیدا ہونا بھول گیا کہنے لگا بوسیدہ ہڈیوں کو کون زندہ کر سکتا ہے


79  
قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا الَّذِي أَنشَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ
Transliteration 79: Qul yuhyeeha allathee anshaaha awwala marratin wahuwa bikulli khalqin AAaleemun
Yusuf Ali 79: Say, "He will give them life Who created them for the first time! for He is Well-versed in every kind of creation!-
Mohsin Khan: 79: Say: (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) "He will give life to them Who created them for the first time! And He is the All-Knower of every creation!"
Urdu 79: کہہ دوانہیں وہی زندہ کرے گا جس نے انہیں پہلی بار پیدا کیا تھا اور وہ سب کچھ بنانا جانتا ہے


80  
الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الشَّجَرِ الْأَخْضَرِ نَارًا فَإِذَا أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ
Transliteration 80: Allathee jaAAala lakum mina alshshajari alakhdari naran faitha antum minhu tooqidoona
Yusuf Ali 80: "The same Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! ye kindle therewith (your own fires)!
Mohsin Khan: 80: He Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold you kindle therewith.
Urdu 80: وہ جس نے تمہارے لیے سبز درخت سے آگ پیدا کر دی کہ تم جھٹ پٹ اس سے آگ سلگا لیتے ہو


81  
أَوَلَيْسَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ الْخَلَّاقُ الْعَلِيمُ
Transliteration 81: Awalaysa allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda biqadirin AAala an yakhluqa mithlahum bala wahuwa alkhallaqu alAAaleemu
Yusuf Ali 81: "Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like thereof?" - Yea, indeed! for He is the Creator Supreme, of skill and knowledge (infinite)!
Mohsin Khan: 81: Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth, Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator.
Urdu 81: کیا وہ جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو بنا دیا اس پر قاد رنہیں کہ ان جیسے اور بنائے کیوں نہیں وہ بہت کچھ بنانے ولا ماہر ہے


82  
إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُ إِذَا أَرَادَ شَيْئًا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ
Transliteration 82: Innama amruhu itha arada shayan an yaqoola lahu kun fayakoonu
Yusuf Ali 82: Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, "be", and it is!
Mohsin Khan: 82: Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" - and it is!
Urdu 82: اس کی تو یہ شان ہے کہ جب وہ کسی چیز کا ارادہ کرتا ہے تو اتنا ہی فرما دیتا ہے کہ ہو سو وہ ہو جاتی ہے


83  
فَسُبْحَانَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
Transliteration 83: Fasubhana allathee biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wailayhi turjaAAoona
Yusuf Ali 83: So glory to Him in Whose hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him will ye be all brought back.
Mohsin Khan: 83: So glorified be He and exalted above all that they associate with Him, and in Whose Hands is the dominion of all things: and to Him you shall be returned.
Urdu 83: پس وہ ذات پاک ہے جس کے ہاتھ میں ہر چیز کا کامل اختیار ہے اور اسی کی طرف تم لوٹائے جاؤ گے
