1  
وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوًا
Transliteration 1: Waalththariyati tharwan
Yusuf Ali 1: By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast;
Mohsin Khan: 1: By (the winds) that scatter dust.
Urdu 1: قسم ہے ان ہواؤں کی جو (غبار وغیرہ) اڑانے والی ہیں


2  
فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا
Transliteration 2: Faalhamilati wiqran
Yusuf Ali 2: And those that lift and bear away heavy weights;
Mohsin Khan: 2: And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water.
Urdu 2: پھر ا ن بادلوں کی جو بوجھ (بارش کا) اٹھانے والے ہیں


3  
فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا
Transliteration 3: Faaljariyati yusran
Yusuf Ali 3: And those that flow with ease and gentleness;
Mohsin Khan: 3: And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness.
Urdu 3: پھر ان کشتیوں کی جو نرمی سے چلنے والی ہیں


4  
فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا
Transliteration 4: Faalmuqassimati amran
Yusuf Ali 4: And those that distribute and apportion by Command;-
Mohsin Khan: 4: And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command.
Urdu 4: پھر ان فرشتوں کی جو حکم کے موافق چیزیں تقسیم کرنے واے ہیں


5  
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ
Transliteration 5: Innama tooAAadoona lasadiqun
Yusuf Ali 5: Verily that which ye are promised is true;
Mohsin Khan: 5: Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds) is surely true.
Urdu 5: بے شک جس قیامت کا تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہےوہ سچ ہے


6  
وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ
Transliteration 6: Wainna alddeena lawaqiAAun
Yusuf Ali 6: And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass.
Mohsin Khan: 6: And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen.
Urdu 6: اور بے شک اعمال کی جزا ضرور ہونے والی ہے


7  
وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ
Transliteration 7: Waalssamai thati alhubuki
Yusuf Ali 7: By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths,
Mohsin Khan: 7: By the heaven full of paths,
Urdu 7: آسمان جالی دار کی قسم ہے


8  
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُّخْتَلِفٍ
Transliteration 8: Innakum lafee qawlin mukhtalifin
Yusuf Ali 8: Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant,
Mohsin Khan: 8: Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Qur'an).
Urdu 8: البتہ تم پیچیدہ بات میں پڑے ہوئے ہو


9  
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ
Transliteration 9: Yufaku AAanhu man ofika
Yusuf Ali 9: Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded.
Mohsin Khan: 9: Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Qur'an) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment القضاء والقدر of Allah).
Urdu 9: قرآن سے وہی روکا جاتا ہےجوازل سے گمراہ ہے


10  
قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ
Transliteration 10: Qutila alkharrasoona
Yusuf Ali 10: Woe to the falsehood-mongers,-
Mohsin Khan: 10: Cursed be the liars
Urdu 10: اٹکل پچو باتیں بنانے والے غارت ہوں


11  
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ
Transliteration 11: Allatheena hum fee ghamratin sahoona
Yusuf Ali 11: Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion:
Mohsin Khan: 11: Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter),
Urdu 11: وہ جو غفلت میں بھولے ہوئے ہیں


12  
يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
Transliteration 12: Yasaloona ayyana yawmu alddeeni
Yusuf Ali 12: They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?"
Mohsin Khan: 12: They ask: "When will be the Day of Recompense?"
Urdu 12: پوچھتے ہیں فیصلے کا دن کب ہوگا


13  
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
Transliteration 13: Yawma hum AAala alnnari yuftanoona
Yusuf Ali 13: (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire!
Mohsin Khan: 13: (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (punished i.e. burnt) over the Fire!
Urdu 13: جس دن وہ آگ پر عذاب دیے جائیں گے


14  
ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ
Transliteration 14: Thooqoo fitnatakum hatha allathee kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona
Yusuf Ali 14: "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!"
Mohsin Khan: 14: "Taste you your trial (punishment i.e. burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!"
Urdu 14: اپنی شرارت کا مزہ چکہو یہی ہے وہ (عذاب) جس کی تم جلدی کرتے تھے


15  
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ
Transliteration 15: Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin
Yusuf Ali 15: As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs,
Mohsin Khan: 15: Verily, the Muttaqun (the pious. See V.2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise),
Urdu 15: بے شک پرہیزگار باغات اور چشموں میں ہوں گے


16  
آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَ‌ٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ
Transliteration 16: Akhitheena ma atahum rabbuhum innahum kanoo qabla thalika muhsineena
Yusuf Ali 16: Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life.
Mohsin Khan: 16: Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers. See V.2:112).
Urdu 16: لے رہے ہوں گے جو کچھ انہیں ان کا رب عطا کرے گا بے شک وہ اس سے پہلے نیکو کار تھے


17  
كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِّنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ
Transliteration 17: Kanoo qaleelan mina allayli ma yahjaAAoona
Yusuf Ali 17: They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night,
Mohsin Khan: 17: They used to sleep but little by night [invoking their Lord (Allah) and praying, with fear and hope].
Urdu 17: وہ رات کے وقت تھوڑا عرصہ سویا کرتے تھے


18  
وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ
Transliteration 18: Wabialashari hum yastaghfiroona
Yusuf Ali 18: And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness;
Mohsin Khan: 18: And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness.
Urdu 18: اور آخر رات میں مغفرت مانگا کرتے تھے


19  
وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِّلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ
Transliteration 19: Wafee amwalihim haqqun lilssaili waalmahroomi
Yusuf Ali 19: And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking).
Mohsin Khan: 19: And in their properties there was the right of the Sa'il (the beggar who asks) and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask others) .
Urdu 19: اور ان کے مالوں میں سوال کرنے والے اور محتاج کا حق ہوتا تھا


20  
وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِّلْمُوقِنِينَ
Transliteration 20: Wafee alardi ayatun lilmooqineena
Yusuf Ali 20: On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith,
Mohsin Khan: 20: And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty.
Urdu 20: اور زمین میں یقین کرنے والوں کے لیے نشانیاں ہیں


21  
وَفِي أَنفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ
Transliteration 21: Wafee anfusikum afala tubsiroona
Yusuf Ali 21: As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see?
Mohsin Khan: 21: And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see?
Urdu 21: اور خود تمہاری نفسوں میں بھی پس کیا تم غور سے نہیں دیکھتے


22  
وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
Transliteration 22: Wafee alssamai rizqukum wama tooAAadoona
Yusuf Ali 22: And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised.
Mohsin Khan: 22: And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised.
Urdu 22: اور تمہاری روزی آسمان میں ہے اور جو تم سے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہے


23  
فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ
Transliteration 23: Fawarabbi alssamai waalardi innahu lahaqqun mithla ma annakum tantiqoona
Yusuf Ali 23: Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other.
Mohsin Khan: 23: Then by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak.
Urdu 23: پس آسمان اور زمین کے مالک کی قسم ہے بے شک یہ (قرآن) برحق ہے جیسا تم باتیں کرتے ہو


24  
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ
Transliteration 24: Hal ataka hadeethu dayfi ibraheema almukrameena
Yusuf Ali 24: Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham?
Mohsin Khan: 24: Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibril (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)?
Urdu 24: کیا آپ کو ابراھیم کے معزز مہمانوں کی بات پہنچی ہے


25  
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ
Transliteration 25: Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroona
Yusuf Ali 25: Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people."
Mohsin Khan: 25: When they came in to him and said: "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered: "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me."
Urdu 25: جب کہ وہ اس پر داخل ہوئے پھر انہوں نے سلام کیا ابراھیم نے سوال کا جواب دیا (خیال کیا) کچھ اجنبی سے لوگ ہیں


26  
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ
Transliteration 26: Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameenin
Yusuf Ali 26: Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf,
Mohsin Khan: 26: Then he turned to his household, and brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows].
Urdu 26: پس چپکے سے اپنے گھر والوں کے پاس گیا اور ایک موٹا بچھڑا (تلا ہوا) لایا


27  
فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ
Transliteration 27: Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala takuloona
Yusuf Ali 27: And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?"
Mohsin Khan: 27: And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?"
Urdu 27: پھر ان کے سامنے لا رکھا فرمایا کیا تم کھاتے نہیں


28  
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ
Transliteration 28: Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleemin
Yusuf Ali 28: (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge.
Mohsin Khan: 28: Then he conceived fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of a son having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism).
Urdu 28: پھر ان سے خوف محسوس کیا انہوں نے کہا تم ڈرو نہیں اور انہوں نے اسے ایک دانشمند لڑکے کی خوشخبری دی


29  
فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
Transliteration 29: Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemun
Yusuf Ali 29: But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!"
Mohsin Khan: 29: Then his wife came forward with a loud voice: she smote her face, and said: "A barren old woman!"
Urdu 29: پھر ان کی بیوی شور مچاتی ہوئی آگے بڑھی اور اپنا ماتھا پیٹ کر کہنے لگی کیا بڑھیا بانجھ جنے گی


30  
قَالُوا كَذَ‌ٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ
Transliteration 30: Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemu
Yusuf Ali 30: They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge."
Mohsin Khan: 30: They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower."
Urdu 30: انہوں نے کہا تیرے رب نے یونہی فرمایا ہے بے شک وہ حکمت والا دانا ہے


31  
 ۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
Transliteration 31: Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona
Yusuf Ali 31: (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?"
Mohsin Khan: 31: [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?"
Urdu 31: فرمایا اے رسولو! تمہارا کیا مطلب ہے


32  
قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُّجْرِمِينَ
Transliteration 32: Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeena
Yusuf Ali 32: They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;-
Mohsin Khan: 32: They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah)
Urdu 32: انہوں نے کہا ہم ایک مجرم قوم کی طرف بھیجے گئے ہیں


33  
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِّن طِينٍ
Transliteration 33: Linursila AAalayhim hijaratan min teenin
Yusuf Ali 33: "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone),
Mohsin Khan: 33: To send down upon them stones of baked clay.
Urdu 33: تاکہ ہم ان پر مٹی کے پتھر برسائیں


34  
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
Transliteration 34: Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika lilmusrifeena
Yusuf Ali 34: "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds."
Mohsin Khan: 34: Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners - those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins).
Urdu 34: وہ آپ کے رب کی طرف حدسے بڑھنے والوں کے لیے مقرر ہو چکے ہیں


35  
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Transliteration 35: Faakhrajna man kana feeha mina almumineena
Yusuf Ali 35: Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there,
Mohsin Khan: 35: So We brought out from therein the believers.
Urdu 35: پھر ہم نے نکال لیا جو بھی وہا ں ایمان دار تھا


36  
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِّنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ
Transliteration 36: Fama wajadna feeha ghayra baytin mina almuslimeena
Yusuf Ali 36: But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house:
Mohsin Khan: 36: But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [of Lut (Lot) and his two daughters].
Urdu 36: پھر ہم نے وہاں سوائے مسلمانوں کے ایک گھر کے نہ پایا


37  
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ
Transliteration 37: Watarakna feeha ayatan lillatheena yakhafoona alAAathaba alaleema
Yusuf Ali 37: And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty.
Mohsin Khan: 37: And We have left there a sign (i.e. the place of the Dead Sea in Palestine) for those who fear the painful torment.
Urdu 37: اورہم نے اس واقعہ میں ایسے لوگو ں کے لیے ایک عبرت رہنے دی جو دردناک عذاب سے ڈرتے ہیں


38  
وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ
Transliteration 38: Wafee moosa ith arsalnahu ila firAAawna bisultanin mubeenin
Yusuf Ali 38: And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest.
Mohsin Khan: 38: And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign), when We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority.
Urdu 38: اور موسیٰ کے قصہ میں بھی عبرت ہے جب کہ ہم نے فرعون کے پا س ایک کھلی دلیل دے کر بھیجا


39  
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
Transliteration 39: Fatawalla biruknihi waqala sahirun aw majnoonun
Yusuf Ali 39: But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!"
Mohsin Khan: 39: But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] turned away (from Belief in might) along with his hosts, and said: "A sorcerer, or a madman."
Urdu 39: سو اس نے مع اپنے ارکانِ سلطنت کے سرتابی کی اور کہا یہ جادوگر یا دیوانہ ہے


40  
فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ
Transliteration 40: Faakhathnahu wajunoodahu fanabathnahum fee alyammi wahuwa muleemun
Yusuf Ali 40: So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame.
Mohsin Khan: 40: So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, for he was blameworthy.
Urdu 40: پھر ہم نے اسے اور اس کے لشکروں کو پکڑ لیا پھر ہم نے انہیں سمند رمیں پھینک دیا اور اس نے کام ہی ملامت کا کیا تھا


41  
وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ
Transliteration 41: Wafee AAadin ith arsalna AAalayhimu alrreeha alAAaqeema
Yusuf Ali 41: And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind:
Mohsin Khan: 41: And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind;
Urdu 41: اور قوم عاد میں بھی (عبرت ہے) جب ہم نے ان پر سخت آندھی بھیجی


42  
مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ
Transliteration 42: Ma tatharu min shayin atat AAalayhi illa jaAAalathu kaalrrameemi
Yusuf Ali 42: It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness.
Mohsin Khan: 42: It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins.
Urdu 42: جو کسی چیز کو نہ چھوڑتی جس پر سے وہ گزرتی مگر اسے بوسیدہ ہڈیوں کی طرح کر دیتی


43  
وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ
Transliteration 43: Wafee thamooda ith qeela lahum tamattaAAoo hatta heenin
Yusuf Ali 43: And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!"
Mohsin Khan: 43: And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!"
Urdu 43: اور قوم ثمود میں بھی (عبرت ہے) جب ہ ان سے کہا گیا ایک وقت معین تک کا فائدہ اٹھاؤ


44  
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
Transliteration 44: FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathathumu alssaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroona
Yusuf Ali 44: But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on.
Mohsin Khan: 44: But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking.
Urdu 44: پھر انہوں نے اپنے رب کے حکم سے سرتابی کی تو ان کو بجلی نے آ پکڑا اوروہ دیکھ رہے تھے


45  
فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِن قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنتَصِرِينَ
Transliteration 45: Fama istataAAoo min qiyamin wama kanoo muntasireena
Yusuf Ali 45: Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves.
Mohsin Khan: 45: Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves.
Urdu 45: پھر نہ تو وہ اٹھ ہی سکے اور نہ وہ بدلہ ہی لے سکے


46  
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ
Transliteration 46: Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena
Yusuf Ali 46: So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed.
Mohsin Khan: 46: (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah).
Urdu 46: اور قوم نوح کو اس سے پہلے (ہلاک کر دیا) بے شک وہ نافرمان لوگ تھے


47  
وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
Transliteration 47: Waalssamaa banaynaha biaydin wainna lamoosiAAoona
Yusuf Ali 47: With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace.
Mohsin Khan: 47: With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof.
Urdu 47: اور ہم نے آسمان کو قدرت سے بنایا اور ہم وسیع قدرت رہنے والے ہیں


48  
وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ
Transliteration 48: Waalarda farashnaha faniAAma almahidoona
Yusuf Ali 48: And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out!
Mohsin Khan: 48: And We have spread out the earth: how Excellent Spreader (thereof) are We!
Urdu 48: اورہم نے ہی زمین کو بچھایا پھر ہم کیا خوب بچھانے والے ہیں


49  
وَمِن كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Transliteration 49: Wamin kulli shayin khalaqna zawjayni laAAallakum tathakkaroona
Yusuf Ali 49: And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction.
Mohsin Khan: 49: And of everything We have created pairs, that you may remember (the Grace of Allah).
Urdu 49: اور ہم نے ہی ہر چیز کا جوڑا پیدا کیا تاکہ تم غور کرو


50  
فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Transliteration 50: Fafirroo ila Allahi innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun
Yusuf Ali 50: Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open!
Mohsin Khan: 50: So flee to Allah (from His Torment to His Mercy - Islamic Monotheism). Verily, I (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) am a plain warner to you from Him.
Urdu 50: پھر الله کی طرف دوڑو بے شک میں تمہارے لیے الله کی طرف سے کھلم کھلا ڈرانے والا ہوں


51  
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَـٰهًا آخَرَ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
Transliteration 51: Wala tajAAaloo maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun
Yusuf Ali 51: And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open!
Mohsin Khan: 51: And set not up (or worship not) any other ilah (god) along with Allah [Glorified be He (Alone), Exalted above all that they associate as partners with Him]. Verily, I (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) am a plain warner to you from Him.
Urdu 51: اور اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی دوسرا معبود نہ ٹھراؤ بےشک میں تمہارے لئے اس کی طرف سے کھلم کھلا ڈرانے والا ہوں


52  
كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ
Transliteration 52: Kathalika ma ata allatheena min qablihim min rasoolin illa qaloo sahirun aw majnoonun
Yusuf Ali 52: Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"!
Mohsin Khan: 52: Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!"
Urdu 52: اسی طرح ان سے پہلوں کے پا س بھی جب کوئی رسول آیا تو انہوں نے یہی کہا کہ یہ جادوگر یا دیوانہ ہے


53  
أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ
Transliteration 53: Atawasaw bihi bal hum qawmun taghoona
Yusuf Ali 53: Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds!
Mohsin Khan: 53: Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)!
Urdu 53: کیا ایک دوسرے سے یہی کہ مرے تھے نہیں بلکہ وہ خود ہی سرکش ہیں


54  
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍ
Transliteration 54: Fatawalla AAanhum fama anta bimaloomin
Yusuf Ali 54: So turn away from them: not thine is the blame.
Mohsin Khan: 54: So turn away (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from them (Quraish pagans), you are not blame-worthy (as you have conveyed Allah's Message).
Urdu 54: پس آپ ان کی پرواہ نہ کیجیئے آپ پر کوئی الزام نہیں


55  
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Transliteration 55: Wathakkir fainna alththikra tanfaAAu almumineena
Yusuf Ali 55: But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers.
Mohsin Khan: 55: And remind (by preaching the Qur'an, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), for verily, the reminding profits the believers.
Urdu 55: اور نصیحت کرتے رہیئے بے شک ایمان والوں کو نصیحت نفع دیتی ہے


56  
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
Transliteration 56: Wama khalaqtu aljinna waalinsa illa liyaAAbudooni
Yusuf Ali 56: I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.
Mohsin Khan: 56: And I (Allah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone).
Urdu 56: اور میں نے جن اور انسان کو بنایا ہے تو صرف اپنی بندگی کے لیے


57  
مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ
Transliteration 57: Ma oreedu minhum min rizqin wama oreedu an yutAAimooni
Yusuf Ali 57: No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me.
Mohsin Khan: 57: I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures).
Urdu 57: میں ان سے کوئی روزی نہیں چاہتا ہوں اور نہ ہی چاہتا ہوں کہ وہ مجھے کھلائیں


58  
إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ
Transliteration 58: Inna Allaha huwa alrrazzaqu thoo alquwwati almateenu
Yusuf Ali 58: For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever).
Mohsin Khan: 58: Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong.
Urdu 58: بے شک الله ہی بڑا روزی دینے والا زبردست طاقت والا ہے


59  
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ
Transliteration 59: Fainna lillatheena thalamoo thanooban mithla thanoobi ashabihim fala yastaAAjiloona
Yusuf Ali 59: For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)!
Mohsin Khan: 59: And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on!
Urdu 59: پس بے شک ان کے لیے جو ظالم ہیں حصہ ہے جیسا کہ ان کے ساتھیوں کا حصہ تھا تو وہ مجھ سے جلدی کا مطالبہ نہ کریں


60  
فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ
Transliteration 60: Fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min yawmihimu allathee yooAAadoona
Yusuf Ali 60: Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised!
Mohsin Khan: 60: Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness - Islamic Monotheism) from their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment).
Urdu 60: پس ہلاکت ہے ان کے لیے جو کافر ہیں اس دن جس کا ان سے وعدہ کیا جاتا ہے
