| 78. | لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَىٰ لِسَانِ دَاوُودَ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا وَّكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ |
| Transliteration: | LuAAina allatheena kafaroo min banee israeela AAala lisani dawooda waAAeesa ibni maryama thalika bima AAasaw wakanoo yaAAtadoona |
| Yusuf Ali: | Curses were pronounced on those among the Children of Israel who rejected Faith, by the tongue of David and of Jesus the son of Mary: because they disobeyed and persisted in excesses. |
| Shakir: | Those who disbelieved from among the children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of Dawood and Isa, son of Marium; this was because they disobeyed and used to exceed the limit. |
| Pickthall: | Those of the Children of Israel who went astray were cursed by the tongue of David, and of Jesus, son of Mary. That was because they rebelled and used to transgress. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawud (David) and 'Îsa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allah and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. |
| Saheeh: | Cursed were those who disbelieved among the Children of Israel by the tongue of David and of Jesus, the son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed. |
| Urdu: | بنی اسرائیل میں سے جو کافر ہوئے ان پر داؤد اور عیسیٰ بیٹے مریم کی زبان پر لعنت کی گئی یہ اس لیے کہ وہ نافرمان تھے اور حد سے گزر گئے تھے |
