Bismi Allahi alrrahmani alrraheemi
69.وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِالْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ ۖ فَمَا لَبِثَ أَن جَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ حَنِيذٍ
Transliteration:Walaqad jaat rusuluna ibraheema bialbushra qaloo salaman qala salamun fama labitha an jaa biAAijlin haneethin
Yusuf Ali:There came Our messengers to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.
Shakir:And certainly Our apostles came to Ibrahim with good news. They said: Peace. Peace, said he, and he made no delay in bringing a roasted calf.
Pickthall:And Our messengers cam unto Abraham with good news. They said: Peace! He answered: Peace! and delayed not to bring a roasted calf.
Mohsin Khan:And verily, there came Our messengers to Ibrahim (Abraham) with glad tidings. They said: Salam (greetings or peace!) He answered, Salam (greetings or peace!) and he hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.
Saheeh:And certainly did Our messengers come to Abraham with good tidings; they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and did not delay in bringing [them] a roasted calf.
Urdu:اور ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے ابراھیم کے پاس خوشخبری لے کر آئے انہوں نے کہا سلام اس نے کہا سلام پس دیر نہ کی کہ ایک بھنا ہوا بچھڑا لے آیا

70.فَلَمَّا رَأَىٰ أَيْدِيَهُمْ لَا تَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ نَكِرَهُمْ وَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۚ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ
Transliteration:Falamma raa aydiyahum la tasilu ilayhi nakirahum waawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf inna orsilna ila qawmi lootin
Yusuf Ali:But when he saw their hands went not towards the (meal), he felt some mistrust of them, and conceived a fear of them. They said: "Fear not: We have been sent against the people of Lut."
Shakir:But when he saw that their hands were not extended towards it, he deemed them strange and conceived fear of them. They said: Fear not, surely we are sent to Lut's people.
Pickthall:And when he saw their hands reached not to it, he mistrusted them and conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! Lo! we are sent unto the folk of Lot.
Mohsin Khan:But when he saw their hands went not towards it (the meal), he mistrusted them, and conceived a fear of them. They said: "Fear not, we have been sent against the people of Lut (Lot)."
Saheeh:But when he saw their hands not reaching for it, he distrusted them and felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not. We have been sent to the people of Lot."
Urdu:پھر جب دیکھا کہ ان کے ہاتھ اس تک نہیں پہنچتے تو انہیں اجنبی سمجھا اوران سے ڈرا انہوں نے کہا خوف نہ کرو ہم تو لوط کی قوم کی طرف بھیجحے گئے ہیں

71.وَامْرَأَتُهُ قَائِمَةٌ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَاهَا بِإِسْحَاقَ وَمِن وَرَاءِ إِسْحَاقَ يَعْقُوبَ
Transliteration:Waimraatuhu qaimatun fadahikat fabashsharnaha biishaqa wamin warai ishaqa yaAAqooba
Yusuf Ali:And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed: But we gave her glad tidings of Isaac, and after him, of Jacob.
Shakir:And his wife was standing (by), so she laughed, then We gave her the good news of Ishaq and after Ishaq of (a son's son) Yaqoub.
Pickthall:And his wife, standing by laughed when We gave her good tidings (of the birth) of Isaac, and, after Isaac, of Jacob.
Mohsin Khan:And his wife was standing (there), and she laughed [either, because the messengers did not eat their food or for being glad for the destruction of the people of Lut (Lot)]. But We gave her glad tidings of Ishaq (Isaac), and after Ishaq, of Ya'qub (Jacob).
Saheeh:And his Wife was standing, and she smiled. Then We gave her good tidings of Isaac and after Isaac, Jacob.
Urdu:اور اس کی عورت کھڑی تھی تب وہ ہنس پڑی پھر ہم نے اسے اسحاق کے پیدا ہونے کی خوشخبری دی اور اسحاق کے بعد یعقوب کی

72.قَالَتْ يَا وَيْلَتَىٰ أَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا عَجُوزٌ وَهَـٰذَا بَعْلِي شَيْخًا ۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
Transliteration:Qalat ya waylata aalidu waana AAajoozun wahatha baAAlee shaykhan inna hatha lashayon AAajeebun
Yusuf Ali:She said: "Alas for me! shall I bear a child, seeing I am an old woman, and my husband here is an old man? That would indeed be a wonderful thing!"
Shakir:She said: O wonder! shall I bear a son when I am an extremely old woman and this my husband an extremely old man? Most surely this is a wonderful thing.
Pickthall:She said: Oh woe is me! Shall I bear a child when I am an old woman, and this my husband is an old man? Lo! this is a strange thing!
Mohsin Khan:She said (in astonishment): "Woe unto me! Shall I bear a child while I am an old woman, and here is my husband an old man? Verily! This is a strange thing!"
Saheeh:She said, "Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this, my husband, is an old man? Indeed, this is an amazing thing!"
Urdu:وہ بولی اے افسوس کیا میں بوڑھی ہو کر جنوں گی میرا خاوند بھی بوڑھا ہے یہ تو ایک عجیب بات ہے

73.قَالُوا أَتَعْجَبِينَ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ ۖ رَحْمَتُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ ۚ إِنَّهُ حَمِيدٌ مَّجِيدٌ
Transliteration:Qaloo ataAAjabeena min amri Allahi rahmatu Allahi wabarakatuhu AAalaykum ahla albayti innahu hameedun majeedun
Yusuf Ali:They said: "Dost thou wonder at Allah's decree? The grace of Allah and His blessings on you, o ye people of the house! for He is indeed worthy of all praise, full of all glory!"
Shakir:They said: Do you wonder at Allah's bidding? The mercy of Allah and His blessings are on you, O people of the house, surely He is Praised, Glorious.
Pickthall:They said: Wonderest thou at the commandment of Allah? The mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, O people of the house! Lo! He is Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory!
Mohsin Khan:They said: "Do you wonder at the Decree of Allah? The Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be on you, O the family [of Ibrahim (Abraham)]. Surely, He (Allah) is All-Praiseworthy, All-Glorious."
Saheeh:They said, "Are you amazed at the decree of Allah? May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, people of the house. Indeed, He is Praiseworthy and Honorable."
Urdu:انہوں نے کہا کیاتو الله کے حکم سے تعجب کرتی ہے تم پر اے گھر والو الله کی رحمت اور اس کی برکتیں ہیں بے شک وہ تعریف کیا ہوا بزرگ ہے

74.فَلَمَّا ذَهَبَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّوْعُ وَجَاءَتْهُ الْبُشْرَىٰ يُجَادِلُنَا فِي قَوْمِ لُوطٍ
Transliteration:Falamma thahaba AAan ibraheema alrrawAAu wajaathu albushra yujadiluna fee qawmi lootin
Yusuf Ali:When fear had passed from (the mind of) Abraham and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to plead with us for Lut's people.
Shakir:So when fear had gone away from Ibrahim and good news came to him, he began to plead with Us for Lut's people.
Pickthall:And when the awe departed from Abraham, and the glad news reached him, he pleaded with Us on behalf of the folk of Lot.
Mohsin Khan:Then when the fear had gone away from (the mind of) Ibrahim (Abraham), and the glad tidings had reached him, he began to plead with Us (Our messengers) for the people of Lut (Lot).
Saheeh:And when the fright had left Abraham and the good tidings had reached him, he began to argue with Us concerning the people of Lot.
Urdu:جب ابراھیم سے ڈر جاتا رہا اور اسے خوشخبری آئی ہم سے قوم لوط کے حق میں جھگڑنے لگا

75.إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَحَلِيمٌ أَوَّاهٌ مُّنِيبٌ
Transliteration:Inna ibraheema lahaleemun awwahun muneebun
Yusuf Ali:For Abraham was, without doubt, forbearing (of faults), compassionate, and given to look to Allah.
Shakir:Most surely Ibrahim was forbearing, tender-hearted, oft-returning (to Allah):
Pickthall:Lo! Abraham was mild, imploring, penitent.
Mohsin Khan:Verily, Ibrahim (Abraham) was, without doubt, forbearing, used to invoking Allah with humility, and was repentant (to Allah all the time, again and again).
Saheeh:Indeed, Abraham was forbearing, grieving and [frequently] returning [to Allah].
Urdu:بے شک ابراھیم بردبار نرم دل اور الله کی طرف رجوع کرنے والا تھا

76.يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَعْرِضْ عَنْ هَـٰذَا ۖ إِنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَإِنَّهُمْ آتِيهِمْ عَذَابٌ غَيْرُ مَرْدُودٍ
Transliteration:Ya ibraheemu aAArid AAan hatha innahu qad jaa amru rabbika wainnahum ateehim AAathabun ghayru mardoodin
Yusuf Ali:O Abraham! Seek not this. The decree of thy Lord hath gone forth: for them there cometh a penalty that cannot be turned back!
Shakir:O Ibrahim! leave off this, surely the decree of your Lord has come to pass, and surely there must come to them a chastisement that cannot be averted.
Pickthall:(It was said) O Abraham! Forsake this! Lo! thy Lord's commandment hath gone forth, and lo! there cometh unto them a doom which cannot be repelled.
Mohsin Khan:"O Ibrahim (Abraham)! Forsake this. Indeed, the Commandment of your Lord has gone forth. Verily, there will come a torment for them which cannot be turned back."
Saheeh:[The angels said], "O Abraham, give up this [plea]. Indeed, the command of your Lord has come, and indeed, there will reach them a punishment that cannot be repelled."
Urdu:اے ابراھیم یہ خیال چھوڑ دے کیوں کہ تیرے رب کا حکم آ چکا ہے اور بے شک ان پرعذاب آ کر ہی رہے گا جو ٹلنے والا نہیں
