177. | إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ |
Transliteration: | Ith qala lahum shuAAaybun ala tattaqoona |
Yusuf Ali: | Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? |
Shakir: | When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? |
Pickthall: | When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? |
Mohsin Khan: | When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? |
Saheeh: | When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? |
Urdu: | جب ان سے شعیب نے کہا کیا تم ڈرتے نہیں |

178. | إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ |
Transliteration: | Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun |
Yusuf Ali: | "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. |
Shakir: | Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; |
Pickthall: | Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, |
Mohsin Khan: | "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. |
Saheeh: | Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. |
Urdu: | میں تمہارے لیے امانت دار رسول ہوں |

179. | فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ |
Transliteration: | Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni |
Yusuf Ali: | "So fear Allah and obey me. |
Shakir: | Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: |
Pickthall: | So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. |
Mohsin Khan: | "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. |
Saheeh: | So fear Allah and obey me. |
Urdu: | پس الله سے ڈرو اور میرا کہا مانو |

180. | وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ |
Transliteration: | Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena |
Yusuf Ali: | "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. |
Shakir: | And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; |
Pickthall: | And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. |
Mohsin Khan: | "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism); my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinn and all that exists). |
Saheeh: | And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. |
Urdu: | اور میں تم سے اس پر کوئی مزدوری نہیں مانگتا میری مزدوری تو بس رب العالمین کے ذمہ ہے |

181. | ۞ أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ |
Transliteration: | Awfoo alkayla wala takoonoo mina almukhsireena |
Yusuf Ali: | "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). |
Shakir: | Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; |
Pickthall: | Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). |
Mohsin Khan: | "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). |
Saheeh: | Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. |
Urdu: | پیمانہ پورا دو اور نقصان دینے والے نہ بنو |

182. | وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ |
Transliteration: | Wazinoo bialqistasi almustaqeemi |
Yusuf Ali: | "And weigh with scales true and upright. |
Shakir: | And weigh (things) with a right balance, |
Pickthall: | And weigh with the true balance. |
Mohsin Khan: | "And weigh with the true and straight balance. |
Saheeh: | And weigh with an even balance. |
Urdu: | اور صحیح ترازو سے تولا کرو |

183. | وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ |
Transliteration: | Wala tabkhasoo alnnasa ashyaahum wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena |
Yusuf Ali: | "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. |
Shakir: | And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. |
Pickthall: | Wrong not mankind in their goods, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. |
Mohsin Khan: | "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. |
Saheeh: | And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. |
Urdu: | اور لوگوں کو ان کی چیزیں کم کر کے نہ دو اور ملک میں فساد مچاتے نہ پھرو |

184. | وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْأَوَّلِينَ |
Transliteration: | Waittaqoo allathee khalaqakum waaljibillata alawwaleena |
Yusuf Ali: | "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" |
Shakir: | And guard against (the punishment of) Him who created you and the former nations. |
Pickthall: | And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. |
Mohsin Khan: | "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." |
Saheeh: | And fear He who created you and the former creation." |
Urdu: | اور اس سے ڈرو جس نے تمہیں اور پہلی خلقت کو بنایا |

185. | قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ |
Transliteration: | Qaloo innama anta mina almusahhareena |
Yusuf Ali: | They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! |
Shakir: | They said: You are only of those deluded; |
Pickthall: | They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; |
Mohsin Khan: | They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! |
Saheeh: | They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. |
Urdu: | کہنے لگے کہ تم پر تو کسی نے جادو کر دیا |

186. | وَمَا أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ |
Transliteration: | Wama anta illa basharun mithluna wain nathunnuka lamina alkathibeena |
Yusuf Ali: | "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! |
Shakir: | And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. |
Pickthall: | Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. |
Mohsin Khan: | "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! |
Saheeh: | You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. |
Urdu: | اورتو بھی ہم جیسا ایک آدمی ہے اور ہمارے خیال میں تو تو جھوٹا ہے |

187. | فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ |
Transliteration: | Faasqit AAalayna kisafan mina alssamai in kunta mina alssadiqeena |
Yusuf Ali: | "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" |
Shakir: | Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. |
Pickthall: | Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. |
Mohsin Khan: | "So cause a piece of the heaven to fall on us, if you are of the truthful!" |
Saheeh: | So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." |
Urdu: | سو ہم پر آسمان کا کوئی ٹکڑا گرا دے اگر تو سچا ہے |

188. | قَالَ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ |
Transliteration: | Qala rabbee aAAlamu bima taAAmaloona |
Yusuf Ali: | He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." |
Shakir: | He said: My Lord knows best what you do. |
Pickthall: | He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. |
Mohsin Khan: | He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." |
Saheeh: | He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." |
Urdu: | کہا میرا رب خوب جانتا ہے جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو |

189. | فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ |
Transliteration: | Fakaththaboohu faakhathahum AAathabu yawmi alththullati innahu kana AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin |
Yusuf Ali: | But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. |
Shakir: | But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. |
Pickthall: | But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. |
Mohsin Khan: | But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them. Indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. |
Saheeh: | And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. |
Urdu: | پھر اسے جھٹلایا پھر انہیں سائبان والے دن کے عذاب نے پکڑ لیا بے شک وہ بڑے دن کا عذاب تھا |
