| 71. | قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِن جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ اللَّيْلَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَـٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِضِيَاءٍ ۖ أَفَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ |
| Transliteration: | Qul araaytum in jaAAala Allahu AAalaykumu allayla sarmadan ila yawmi alqiyamati man ilahun ghayru Allahi yateekum bidiyain afala tasmaAAoona |
| Yusuf Ali: | Say: See ye? If Allah were to make the night perpetual over you to the Day of Judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you enlightenment? Will ye not then hearken? |
| Shakir: | Say: Tell me, if Allah were to make the night to continue incessantly on you till the day of resurrection, who is the god besides Allah that could bring you light? Do you not then hear? |
| Pickthall: | Say: Have ye thought, if Allah made night everlasting for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is a god beside Allah who could bring you light? Will ye not then hear? |
| Mohsin Khan: | Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Tell me! If Allah made the night continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, which ilah (god) besides Allah could bring you light? Will you not then hear?" |
| Saheeh: | Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the night continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you light? Then will you not hear?" |
| Urdu: | کہہ دو بھلا یہ تو بتاؤ اگر الله تم پر ہمیشہ کے لیے قیامت تک رات ہی رہنے دے تو الله کے سوا کون سا معبود ہے جو تمہارے لیے روشنی لائے کیا تم سنتے نہیں ہو |
