| 2. | هُوَ الَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي الْأُمِّيِّينَ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا مِن قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ |
| Transliteration: | Huwa allathee baAAatha fee alommiyyeena rasoolan minhum yatloo AAalayhim ayatihi wayuzakkeehim wayuAAallimuhumu alkitaba waalhikmata wain kanoo min qablu lafee dalalin mubeenin |
| Yusuf Ali: | It is He Who has sent amongst the Unlettered a messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;- |
| Shakir: | He it is Who raised among the inhabitants of Mecca an Apostle from among themselves, who recites to them His communications and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom, although they were before certainly in clear error, |

| Urdu: | وہی ہے جس نے ان پڑھوں میں ایک رسول انہیں میں سے مبعوث فرمایا جو ان پر اس کی آیتیں پڑھتا ہے اور انہیں پاک کرتا ہے اور انہیں کتاب اور حکمت سکھاتا ہے اور بے شک وہ اس سے پہلے صریح گمراہی میں تھے |
