| 33. | فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الصَّاخَّةُ |
| Transliteration: | Faitha jaati alssakhkhatu |
| Yusuf Ali: | At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- |
| Shakir: | But when the deafening cry comes, |
| Pickthall: | But when the Shout cometh |
| Mohsin Khan: | Then when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the second blowing of the Trumpet on the Day of Resurrection) |
| Saheeh: | But when there comes the Deafening Blast |
| Urdu: | پھر جس وقت کانوں کا بہرا کرنے والا شور برپا ہوگا |

| 34. | يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ |
| Transliteration: | Yawma yafirru almaro min akheehi |
| Yusuf Ali: | That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, |
| Shakir: | The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, |
| Pickthall: | On the day when a man fleeth from his brother |
| Mohsin Khan: | That Day shall a man flee from his brother, |
| Saheeh: | On the Day a man will flee from his brother |
| Urdu: | جس دن آدمی اپنے بھائی سے بھاگے گا |

| 35. | وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِيهِ |
| Transliteration: | Waommihi waabeehi |
| Yusuf Ali: | And from his mother and his father, |
| Shakir: | And his mother and his father, |
| Pickthall: | And his mother and his father |
| Mohsin Khan: | And from his mother and his father, |
| Saheeh: | And his mother and his father |
| Urdu: | اور اپنی ماں اور باپ سے |

| 36. | وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيهِ |
| Transliteration: | Wasahibatihi wabaneehi |
| Yusuf Ali: | And from his wife and his children. |
| Shakir: | And his spouse and his son-- |
| Pickthall: | And his wife and his children, |
| Mohsin Khan: | And from his wife and his children. |
| Saheeh: | And his wife and his children, |
| Urdu: | اور اپنی بیوی اوراپنے بیٹوں سے |

| 37. | لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ |
| Transliteration: | Likulli imriin minhum yawmaithin shanun yughneehi |
| Yusuf Ali: | Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. |
| Shakir: | Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. |
| Pickthall: | Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). |
| Mohsin Khan: | Everyman that Day will have enough to make him careless of others. |
| Saheeh: | For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. |
| Urdu: | ہر شخص کی ایسی حالت ہوگی جو اس کو اوروں کی طرف سے بے پروا کر دے گی |

| 38. | وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ |
| Transliteration: | Wujoohun yawmaithin musfiratun |
| Yusuf Ali: | Some faces that Day will be beaming, |
| Shakir: | (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, |
| Pickthall: | On that day faces will be bright as dawn, |
| Mohsin Khan: | Some faces that Day will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism), |
| Saheeh: | [Some] faces, that Day, will be bright - |
| Urdu: | اورکچھ چہرے اس دن چمک رہے ہوں گے |

| 39. | ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ |
| Transliteration: | Dahikatun mustabshiratun |
| Yusuf Ali: | Laughing, rejoicing. |
| Shakir: | Laughing, joyous. |
| Pickthall: | Laughing, rejoicing at good news; |
| Mohsin Khan: | Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). |
| Saheeh: | Laughing, rejoicing at good news. |
| Urdu: | ہنستے ہوئے خوش و خرم |

| 40. | وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ |
| Transliteration: | Wawujoohun yawmaithin AAalayha ghabaratun |
| Yusuf Ali: | And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, |
| Shakir: | And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, |
| Pickthall: | And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them, |
| Mohsin Khan: | And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained. |
| Saheeh: | And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. |
| Urdu: | اور کچھ چہرے اس دن ایسے ہوں گے کہ ان پر گرد پڑی ہو گی |

| 41. | تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ |
| Transliteration: | Tarhaquha qataratun |
| Yusuf Ali: | Blackness will cover them: |
| Shakir: | Darkness shall cover them. |
| Pickthall: | Veiled in darkness, |
| Mohsin Khan: | Darkness will cover them. |
| Saheeh: | Blackness will cover them. |
| Urdu: | ان پر سیاہی چھا رہی ہو گی |
|
| 42. | أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ |
| Transliteration: | Olaika humu alkafaratu alfajaratu |
| Yusuf Ali: | Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. |
| Shakir: | These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. |
| Pickthall: | Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. |
| Mohsin Khan: | Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). |
| Saheeh: | Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. |
| Urdu: | یہی لوگ ہیں منکر نافرمان |
