(1) He from whom it is averted on that day, Allah indeed has shown mercy to him; and this is a manifest achievement.

(3) And if We hold back from them the punishment until a stated period of time, they will certainly say: What prevents it? Now surely on the day when it will come to them, it shall not be averted from them and that which they scoffed at shall beset them.

(4) O Ibrahim! leave off this, surely the decree of your Lord has come to pass, and surely there must come to them a chastisement that cannot be averted.

(5) Until when the apostles despaired and the people became sure that they were indeed told a lie, Our help came to them and whom We pleased was delivered; and Our punishment is not averted from the guilty people.

(6) Then turn thy face straight to the right religion before there come from Allah the day which cannot be averted; on that day they shall become separated.
