(1) It is He Who sendeth down rain from the skies: with it We produce vegetation of all kinds: from some We produce green (crops), out of which We produce grain, heaped up (at harvest); out of the date-palm and its sheaths (or spathes) (come) clusters of dates hanging low and near: and (then there are) gardens of grapes, and olives, and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety): when they begin to bear fruit, feast your eyes with the fruit and the ripeness thereof. Behold! in these things there are signs for people who believe.

(2) Say: "My Lord hath commanded justice; and that ye set your whole selves (to Him) at every time and place of prayer, and call upon Him, making your devotion sincere as in His sight: such as He created you in the beginning, so shall ye return."

(3) To Him will be your return- of all of you. The promise of Allah is true and sure. It is He Who beginneth the process of creation, and repeateth it, that He may reward with justice those who believe and work righteousness; but those who reject Him will have draughts of boiling fluids, and a penalty grievous, because they did reject Him.

(4) (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!"

(5) It is Allah Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; then shall ye be brought back to Him.

(6) Yea, to Him be praise, in the heavens and on earth; and in the late afternoon and when the day begins to decline.

(7) It is He Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; and for Him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest similitude (we can think of) in the heavens and the earth: for He is Exalted in Might, full of wisdom.

(8) Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see!

(9) But it is to Allah that the End and the beginning (of all things) belong.

(10) It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life).
