(14) When it is said to them: "Come to what Allah hath revealed; come to the Messenger": They say: "enough for us are the ways we found our fathers following." what! even though their fathers were void of knowledge and guidance?

(15) "enough is Allah for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew nothing of your worship of us!"

(16) "Slay ye Joseph or cast him out to some (unknown) land, that so the favour of your father may be given to you alone: (there will be time enough) for you to be righteous after that!"

(17) Jacob said: "Nay, but ye have yourselves contrived a story (good enough) for you. So patience is most fitting (for me). Maybe Allah will bring them (back) all to me (in the end). For He is indeed full of knowledge and wisdom."

(18) The Unbelievers say: "No messenger art thou." Say: "enough for a witness between me and you is Allah, and such as have knowledge of the Book."

(19) How many generations have We destroyed after Noah? and enough is thy Lord to note and see the sins of His servants.

(20) "As for My servants, no authority shalt thou have over them:" enough is thy Lord for a Disposer of affairs.
