(3) And thus do We make clear the communications, and that haply they might return.
(4) O our Lord! surely I have settled a part of my offspring in a valley unproductive of fruit near Thy Sacred House, our Lord! that they may keep up prayer; therefore make the hearts of some people yearn towards them and provide them with fruits; haply they may be grateful:
(5) With clear arguments and scriptures; and We have revealed to you the Reminder that you may make clear to men what has been revealed to them, and that haply they may reflect.
(6) And Allah has made for you of what He has created shelters, and He has given you in the mountains places of retreat, and He has given you garments to preserve you from the heat and coats of mail to preserve you in your fighting; even thus does He complete His favor upon you, that haply you may submit.
(7) When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire.
(8) Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear.
(9) Do not fly (now) and come back to what you were made to lead easy lives in and to your dwellings, haply you will be questioned.
(10) So he broke them into pieces, except the chief of them, that haply they may return to it.
