(1) So also did We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude.

(2) Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!

(3) And We ordained laws for him in the tablets in all matters, both commanding and explaining all things, (and said): "Take and hold these with firmness, and enjoin thy people to hold fast by the best in the precepts: soon shall I show you the homes of the wicked,- (How they lie desolate)."

(4) Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?

(5) Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance;

(6) Wherein are laws (or decrees) right and straight.
