(1) But when He delivers them, lo! they are unjustly rebellious in the earth. O men! your rebellion is against your own souls-- provision (only) of this world's life-- then to Us shall be your return, so We will inform you of what you did.

(2) And this life of the world is nothing but a sport and a play; and as for the next abode, that most surely is the life-- did they but know!

(3) And Allah created you of dust, then of the life-germ, then He made you pairs; and no female bears, nor does she bring forth, except with His knowledge; and no one whose life is lengthened has his life lengthened, nor is aught diminished of one's life, but it is all in a book; surely this is easy to Allah.

(4) And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein.

(5) And that He it is Who causes death and gives life-

(6) Surely We have created man from a small life-germ uniting (itself): We mean to try him, so We have made him hearing, seeing.
