(41) If ye are on a journey, and cannot find a scribe, a pledge with possession (may serve the purpose). And if one of you deposits a thing on trust with another, Let the trustee (Faithfully) discharge His trust, and let him fear his lord. Conceal not evidence; for whoever conceals it,- His heart is tainted with sin. And Allah Knoweth all that ye do.
(42) The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His messengers. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His messengers." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys."
(43) On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."
(44) Then those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah will suffer the severest penalty, and Allah is Exalted in Might, lord of Retribution.
(45) He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: In it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our lord:" and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding.
(46) "Our lord!" (they say), "Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure.
(47) "Our lord! Thou art He that will gather mankind Together against a day about which there is no doubt; for Allah never fails in His promise."
(48) Say: Shall I give you glad tidings of things Far better than those? For the righteous are Gardens in nearness to their lord, with rivers flowing beneath; therein is their eternal home; with companions pure (and holy); and the good pleasure of Allah. For in Allah's sight are (all) His servants,-
(49) (Namely), those who say: "Our lord! we have indeed believed: forgive us, then, our sins, and save us from the agony of the Fire;"-
(50) Say: "O Allah! lord of Power (And Rule), Thou givest power to whom Thou pleasest, and Thou strippest off power from whom Thou pleasest: Thou enduest with honour whom Thou pleasest, and Thou bringest low whom Thou pleasest: In Thy hand is all good. Verily, over all things Thou hast power.
