(131) That Day (Allah) will call to them, and say "Where are my 'partners'?- whom ye imagined (to be such)?"

(132) It will be said (to them): "Call upon your 'partners' (for help)": they will call upon them, but they will not listen to them; and they will see the Penalty (before them); (how they will wish) 'if only they had been open to guidance!'

(133) Thy Lord does create and choose as He pleases: no choice have they (in the matter): Glory to Allah! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!

(134) The Day that He will call on them, He will say: "Where are my 'partners'? whom ye imagined (to be such)?"

(135) Then We caused the earth to swallow up him and his house; and he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah, nor could he defend himself.

(136) (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not.

(137) No intercessor will they have among their "partners" and they will (themselves) reject their "partners".

(138) He does propound to you a similitude from your own (experience): do ye have partners among those whom your right hands possess, to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed on you? Do ye fear them as ye fear each other? Thus do we explain the Signs in detail to a people that understand.

(139) Those who split up their Religion, and become (mere) Sects,- each party rejoicing in that which is with itself!

(140) When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other god's besides their Lord,-
