(1) Say: Have you considered that if Allah takes away your hearing and your sight and sets a seal on your hearts, who is the god besides Allah that can bring it to you? See how We repeat the communications, yet they turn away.

(2) Say: He has the power that He should send on you a chastisement from above you or from beneath your feet, or that He should throw you into confusion, (making you) of different parties; and make some of you taste the fighting of others. See how We repeat the communications that they may understand.

(3) And thus do We repeat the communications and that they may say: You have read; and that We may make it clear to a people who know.

(4) And as for the good land, its vegetation springs forth (abundantly) by the permission of its Lord, and (as for) that which is inferior (its herbage) comes forth but scantily; thus do We repeat the communications for a people who give thanks.

(5) And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran.

(6) And certainly We have repeated (warnings) in this Quran that they may be mindful, but it does not add save to their aversion.

(7) And certainly We have repeated this to them that they may be mindful, but the greater number of men do not consent to aught except denying.

(8) Allah has revealed the best announcement, a book conformable in its various parts, repeating, whereat do shudder the skins of those who fear their Lord, then their skins and their hearts become pliant to the remembrance of Allah; this is Allah's guidance, He guides with it whom He pleases; and (as for) him whom Allah makes err, there is no guide for him.

(9) And certainly We destroyed the towns which are around you, and We repeat the communications that they might turn.
