(32) The Mosques of Allah shall be maintained only by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, perform As-salat (Iqamat-as-salat), and give Zakat and fear none but Allah. It is they who are on true guidance.
(33) And nothing prevents their contributions from being accepted from them except that they disbelieved in Allah and in His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and that they came not to As-salat (the prayer) except in a lazy state, and that they offer not contributions but unwillingly.
(34) The believers, men and women, are Auliya' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another; they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); they perform As-salat (Iqamat-as-salat), and give the Zakat, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

(37) And perform As-salat (Iqamat-as-salat ), at the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night [i.e. the five compulsory salat (prayers)]. Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds (i.e. small sins). That is a reminder (an advice) for the mindful (those who accept advice).
(38) And those who remain patient, seeking their Lord's Countenance, perform As-salat (Iqamat-as-salat), and spend out of that which We have bestowed on them, secretly and openly, and defend evil with good, for such there is a good end.
(39) Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) to 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have believed, that they should perform As-salat (Iqamat-as-salat ), and spend in charity out of the sustenance We have given them, secretly and openly, before the coming of a Day on which there will be neither mutual bargaining nor befriending.
(40) "O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in an uncultivable valley by Your Sacred House (the Ka'bah at Makkah) in order, O our Lord, that they may perform As-salat (Iqamat-as-salat). So fill some hearts among men with love towards them, and (O Allah) provide them with fruits so that they may give thanks.
