(911) Lodge them (the divorced women) where you dwell, according to your means, and do not harm them so as to straiten them (that they be obliged to leave your house). And if they are pregnant, then spend on them till they lay down their burden. then if they give suck to the children for you, give them their due payment, and let each of you accept the advice of the other in a just way. But if you make difficulties for one another, then some other woman may give suck for him (the father of the child).

(912) And (remember) when the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his wives (Hafsah), then she told it (to another i.e. 'Aishah). And Allah made it known to him; he informed part thereof and left a part. then when he told her (Hafsah) thereof, she said: "Who told you this?" He said: "The All-Knower, the All-Aware (Allah) has told me."

(913) If you two (wives of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم : 'Aishah and Hafsah رضي الله عنهما) turn in repentance to Allah, (it will be better for you), your hearts are indeed so inclined (to oppose what the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم likes); but if you help one another against him (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), then verily, Allah is his Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector), and Jibril (Gabriel), and the righteous among the believers; and furthermore, the angels are his helpers.

(914) Who has created the seven heavens one above another; you can see no fault in the creation of the Most Gracious. then look again: "Can you see any rifts?"

(915) then look again and yet again: your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out.

(916) then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire!

(917) Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not cause the earth to sink with you, and then it should quake?

(918) Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning.

(919) And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)?

(920) Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Tell me! If (all) your water were to sink away, who then can supply you with flowing (spring) water?"
