Then We make dark the portent of the night, and We make the portent of the day sight-giving, that ye may seek bounty from your Lord, and that ye may know the computation of the years, and the reckoning; and everything have We expounded with a clear expounding.

(48) And afterward We raised them up that We might know which of the two parties would best calculate the time that they had tarried.

(49) Coin for them a similitude: two men, unto one of whom We had assigned two gardens of grapes, and We had surrounded both with date-palms and had put between them tillage.

(50) And when Moses said unto his servant: I will not give up until I reach the point where the two rivers meet, though I march on for ages.
