The words "jews fasting" appear in 4 hadith(s) in Sahih Al-Bukhari صحيح البخاري translation.

(1) Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet came to Medina and saw the jews fasting on the day of Ashura. He asked them about that. They replied, "This is a good day, the day on which Allah rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day." The Prophet said, "We have more claim over Moses than you." So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day).  (Book #31, Hadith #222)
(2) Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: When the Prophet came to Medina, he found (the jews) fasting on the day of 'Ashura' (i.e. 10th of Muharram). They used to say: "This is a great day on which Allah saved Moses and drowned the folk of Pharaoh. Moses observed the fast on this day, as a sign of gratitude to Allah." The Prophet said, "I am closer to Moses than they." So, he observed the fast (on that day) and ordered the Muslims to fast on it.  (Book #55, Hadith #609)
(3) Narrated Abu Musa: When the Prophet arrived at Medina, he noticed that some people among the jews used to respect Ashura' (i.e. 10th of Muharram) and fast on it. The Prophet then said, "We have more right to observe fast on this day." and ordered that fasting should be observed on it.  (Book #58, Hadith #278)
(4) Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Medina he found that the jews observed fast on the day of 'Ashura'. They were asked the reason for the fast. They replied, "This is the day when Allah caused Moses and the children of Israel to have victory over Pharaoh, so we fast on this day as a sign of glorifying it." Allah's Apostle said, "We are closer to Moses than you." Then he ordered that fasting on this day should be observed.  (Book #58, Hadith #279)
