(972) So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice),

(973) And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice:

(974) Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah,

(975) And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while.

(976) Or have ye an authority manifest?

(977) Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful!

(978) "if only we had had before us a Message from those of old,

(979) Or have they the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all between? if so, let them mount up with the ropes and means (to reach that end)!

(980) When they entered the presence of David, and he was terrified of them, they said: "Fear not: we are two disputants, one of whom has wronged the other: Decide now between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, but guide us to the even Path..
