(531) He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me;

(532) This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones;

(533) That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire.

(534) Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the one, the Subduer (of all):

(535) But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers.

(536) He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones?

(537) He said: Surely you are of the respited ones,

(538) Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones.

(539) Now, surely, sincere obedience is due to Allah (alone) and (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, (saying), We do not serve them save that they may make us nearer to Allah, surely Allah will judge between them in that in which they differ; surely Allah does not guide him aright who is a liar, ungrateful.

(540) If Allah desire to take a son to Himself, He will surely choose those He pleases from what He has created. Glory be to Him: He is Allah, the one, the Subduer (of all).
