(32) Is then He who standeth over every soul (and knoweth) all that it doth, (like any others)? And yet they ascribe partners to Allah. Say: "But name them! is it that ye will inform Him of something he knoweth not on earth, or is it (just) a show of words?" Nay! to those who believe not, their pretence seems pleasing, but they are kept back (thereby) from the path. And those whom Allah leaves to stray, no one can guide.

(33) Those who love the life of this world more than the Hereafter, who hinder (men) from the path of Allah and seek therein something crooked: they are astray by a long distance.

(34) And they set up (idols) as equal to Allah, to mislead (men) from the path! Say: "Enjoy (your brief power)! But verily ye are making straightway for Hell!"

(35) Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought.

(36) Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the path of Allah - for them will We add Penalty to Penalty; for that they used to spread mischief.

(37) And take not your oaths, to practise deception between yourselves, with the result that someone's foot may slip after it was firmly planted, and ye may have to taste the evil (consequences) of having hindered (men) from the path of Allah, and a Mighty Wrath descend on you.

(38) Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His path, and who receive guidance.

(39) But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the hereafter, and most astray from the path.

(40) Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come).
