(62) And We had already forbidden (other) foster suckling mothers for him, until she (his sister came up and) said: "Shall I direct you to a household who will rear him for you, and look after him in a good manner?" (سورة القصص, Al-Qasas, Chapter #28, Verse #12) (Arabic, Transliteration, Urdu (Ahmed Ali), Urdu (Jalandhry), Farsi, Yusuf Ali, Shakir, Picthal, Mohsin Khan, French, Spanish, Indonesian, Malay, German, Bosnian, Russian, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Tafsir - Jalal ad-Din, Tafsir - King Fahad Quran Complex) |
(63) Neither did you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) read any book before it (this Qur'an), nor did you write any book (whatsoever) with your right hand. In that case, indeed, the followers of falsehood might have doubted. (سورة العنكبوت, Al-Ankaboot, Chapter #29, Verse #48) (Arabic, Transliteration, Urdu (Ahmed Ali), Urdu (Jalandhry), Farsi, Yusuf Ali, Shakir, Picthal, Mohsin Khan, French, Spanish, Indonesian, Malay, German, Bosnian, Russian, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Tafsir - Jalal ad-Din, Tafsir - King Fahad Quran Complex) |
(64) Allah is He Who sends the winds, so that they raise clouds, and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments, until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! (67) And (remember) when you said to him (Zaid bin Harithah رضي الله عنه - the freed-slave of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم) on whom Allah has bestowed Grace (by guiding him to Islam) and you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم too) have done favour (by manumitting him): "Keep your wife to yourself, and fear Allah." But you did hide in yourself (i.e. what Allah has already made known to you that He will give her to you in marriage) that which Allah will make manifest, you did fear the people (i.e., their saying that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم married the divorced wife of his manumitted slave) whereas Allah had a better right that you should fear Him. So when Zaid had accomplished his desire from her (i.e. divorced her), We gave her to you in marriage, so that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the believers in respect of (the marriage of) the wives of their adopted sons when the latter have no desire to keep them (i.e. they have divorced them). And Allah's Command must be fulfilled.
