(71) Praise be to Allah, Who hath sent to His Servant the Book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness:

(72) Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers!

(73) So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence.

(74) One (such) way he followed,

(75) Then followed he (another) way,

(76) Then followed he (another) way,

(77) "So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, 'I have vowed a fast to (Allah) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being'"

(78) When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and each one of them We made a prophet.

(79) And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth.

(80) But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction,-
