(83) And when they came in before Joseph, he took his parents unto him, and said: Come into Egypt safe, if Allah will!

(84) Till, when the messengers despaired and thought that they were denied, then came unto them Our help, and whom We would was saved. And Our wrath cannot be warded from the guilty.

(85) Hath not the history of those before you reached you: the folk of Noah, and (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, and those after them? None save Allah knoweth them. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs, but they thrust their hands into their mouths, and said: Lo! we disbelieve in that wherewith ye have been sent, and lo! we are in grave doubt concerning that to which ye call us.

(86) And never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him.

(87) (How) when they came in unto him, and said: Peace. He said: Lo! we are afraid of you.

(88) And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot,

(89) And the people of the city came, rejoicing at the news (of new arrivals).

(90) Those before them plotted, so Allah struck at the foundations of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them from above them, and the doom came on them whence they knew not;
