Then, as for the foam, it passeth away as scum upon the banks, while, as for that which is of use to mankind, it remaineth in the earth. Thus Allah coineth the similitudes.

(52) Those who disbelieve say: If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Say: Lo! Allah sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth unto Himself all who turn (unto Him),

(53) Hast thou not seen those who gave the grace of Allah in exchange for thanklessness and led their people down to the Abode of Loss,

(54) We send not down the angels save with the Fact, and in that case (the disbelievers) would not be tolerated.

(55) And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure.

(56) So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him.

(57) Such as We send down for those who make division,

(58) He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no Allah save Me, so keep your duty unto Me.

(59) He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture.

(60) Those before them plotted, so Allah struck at the foundations of their building, and then the roof fell down upon them from above them, and the doom came on them whence they knew not;
