(162) We are Best Aware of what they wish to hear when they give ear to thee and when they take secret counsel, when the evil-doers say: Ye follow but a man bewitched.

(163) Tell My bondmen to speak that which is kindlier. Lo! the devil soweth discord among them. Lo! the devil is for man an open foe.

(164) And We reveal of the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy for believers though it increase the evil-doers in naught save ruin.

(165) And (remember) when We said unto the angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, and they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He was of the jinn, so he rebelled against his Lord's command. Will ye choose him and his seed for your protecting friends instead of Me, when they are an enemy unto you? Calamitous is the exchange for evil-doers.

(166) See and hear them on the Day they come unto Us! yet the evil-doers are to-day in error manifest.

(167) O my father! Serve not the devil. Lo! the devil is a rebel unto the Beneficent.

(168) O my father! Lo! I fear lest a punishment from the Beneficent overtake thee so that thou become a comrade of the devil.

(169) And, by thy Lord, verily We shall assemble them and the devils, then We shall bring them, crouching, around hell.

(170) Then We shall rescue those who kept from evil, and leave the evil-doers crouching there.
