(141) And (be mindful of) the Day when He will say: Call those partners of Mine whom ye pretended. Then they will cry unto them, but they will not hear their prayer, and We shall set a gulf of doom between them.

(142) And who doth greater wrong than he who hath been reminded of the revelations of his Lord, yet turneth away from them and forgetteth what his hands send forward (to the Judgment)? Lo! on their hearts We have placed coverings so that they understand not, and in their ears a deafness. And though thou call them to the guidance, in that case they can never be led aright.

(143) Those whose eyes were hoodwinked from My reminder, and who could not bear to hear.

(144) See and hear them on the Day they come unto Us! yet the evil-doers are to-day in error manifest.

(145) When he said unto his father: O my father! Why worshippest thou that which heareth not nor seeth, nor can in aught avail thee?

(146) They hear therein no idle talk, but only Peace; and therein they have food for morn and evening.

(147) And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound?

(148) And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired.

(149) He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, hearing and Seeing.

(150) On that day they follow the summoner who deceiveth not, and voices are hushed for the Beneficent, and thou hearest but a faint murmur.
