(11) But those who strive against Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), to frustrate them, they will be dwellers of the hell-fire.
(12) Is he whom We have promised an excellent promise (Paradise) - which he will find true - like him whom We have made to enjoy the luxuries of the life of (this) world, then on the Day of Resurrection, he will be among those brought up (to be punished in the hell-fire)?
(13) On the Day when the torment (hell-fire) shall cover them from above them and from underneath their feet, and it will be said: "Taste what you used to do."
(14) And as for those who disbelieved and belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, Allah's Messengers, Resurrection, etc.), and the Meeting of the Hereafter, such shall be brought forth to the torment (in the hell-fire).
(15) And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path of Allah, or the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery. For such there will be a humiliating torment (in the hell-fire).
(16) That He may ask the truthful (Allah's Messengers and His Prophets) about their truth (i.e. the conveyance of Allah's Message that which they were charged with). And He has prepared for the disbelievers a painful torment (hell-fire).
(17) He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the hell-fire and will be admitted to Paradise).
(18) Verily, it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of hell-fire,
(19) The Day when their excuses will be of no profit to Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah). Theirs will be the curse, and theirs will be the evil abode (i.e. painful torment in hell-fire).
(20) Giving glad tidings [of Paradise to the one who believes in the Oneness of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) and fears Allah much (abstains from all kinds of sins and evil deeds) and loves Allah much (performing all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)], and warning (of punishment in the hell-fire to the one who disbelieves in the Oneness of Allah), but most of them turn away, so they hear not.
