(14) We have honoured the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of our creation.

(15) Say: "O my Lord! Let my entry be by the Gate of Truth and honour, and likewise my exit by the Gate of Truth and honour; and grant me from Thy Presence an authority to aid (me)."

(16) (Abundant) was the produce this man had: he said to his companion, in the course of a mutual argument: "more wealth have I than you, and more honour and power in (my following of) men."

(17) And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth.

(18) The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours,

(19) And they say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten offspring." Glory to Him! they are (but) servants raised to honour.

(20) Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth,- the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind? But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah shall disgrace,- None can raise to honour: for Allah carries out all that He wills.
