(42) And he [Nuh (Noah) عليه السلام] said: "Embark therein: in the Name of Allah will be its (moving) course and its (resting) anchorage. Surely, my Lord is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." (Tafsir At-Tabari)
(43) "And I free not myself (from the blame). Verily, the (human) self is inclined to evil, except when my Lord bestows His Mercy (upon whom He wills). Verily, my Lord is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful."
(44) He said: "I will ask my Lord for forgiveness for you, verily He! Only He is the oft-forgiving, the Most Merciful."
(45) "O my Lord! They have indeed led astray many among mankind. But whoso follows me, he verily is of me. And whoso disobeys me, still You are indeed oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(46) Declare (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) unto My slaves, that truly, I am the oft-forgiving, the Most-Merciful.
(47) And if you would count the favours of Allah, never could you be able to count them. Truly! Allah is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(48) Then, verily! Your Lord - for those who emigrated after they had been put to trials and thereafter strove hard and fought (for the Cause of Allah) and were patient, verily, your Lord afterward is, oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(49) He has forbidden you only Al-Maitah (meat of a dead animal), blood, the flesh of swine, and any animal which is slaughtered as a sacrifice for others than Allah (or has been slaughtered for idols or on which Allah's Name has not been mentioned while slaughtering). But if one is forced by necessity, without wilful disobedience, and not transgressing, - then, Allah is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(50) Then, verily! Your Lord - for those who do evil (commit sins and are disobedient to Allah) in ignorance and afterward repent and do righteous deeds, verily, your Lord thereafter, (to such) is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
