So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. (228) Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me;

(229) So they disputed with one another about their affair and kept the discourse secret.

(230) He said: O son of my mother! seize me not by my beard nor by my head; surely I was afraid lest you should say: You have caused a division among the children of Israel and not waited for my word.
