(123) And wherefore did you not say when you entered your garden: It is as Allah has pleased, there is no power save in Allah? If you consider me to be inferior to you in wealth and children,

(124) He said: If Allah pleases, you will find me patient and I shall not disobey you in any matter.

(125) So they went on until when they came to the people of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused to entertain them as guests. Then they found in it a wall which was on the point of falling, so he put it into a right state. (Musa) said: If you had pleased, you might certainly have taken a recompense for it.

(126) Who should inherit me and inherit from the children of Yaqoub, and make him, my Lord, one in whom Thou art well pleased.

(127) And he enjoined on his family prayer and almsgiving, and was one in whom his Lord was well pleased.

(128) He said: They are here on my track and I hastened on to Thee, my Lord, that Thou mightest be pleased.

(129) So Musa returned to his people wrathful, sorrowing. Said he: O my people! did not your Lord promise you a goodly promise: did then the time seem long to you, or did you wish that displeasure from your Lord should be due to you, so that you broke (your) promise to me?

(130) On that day shall no intercession avail except of him whom the Beneficent Allah allows and whose word He is pleased with.
