(32) The sovereignty on that day will be the True (sovereignty) belonging to the Beneficent One, and it will be a hard day for disbelievers.

(33) And Korah, Pharaoh and Haman! Moses came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty), but they were boastful in the land. And they were not winners (in the race).

(34) Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? They were stronger than these in power, and they dug the earth and built upon it more than these have built. Messengers of their own came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty). Surely Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves.

(35) He maketh the night to pass into the day and He maketh the day to pass into the night. He hath subdued the sun and moon to service. Each runneth unto an appointed term. Such is Allah, your Lord; His is the sovereignty; and those unto whom ye pray instead of Him own not so much as the white spot on a date-stone.

(36) And if they deny thee, those before them also denied. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty), and with the Psalms and the Scripture giving light.

(37) He said: My Lord! Forgive me and bestow on me sovereignty such as shall not belong to any after me. Lo! Thou art the Bestower.

(38) He created you from one being, then from that (being) He made its mate; and He hath provided for you of cattle eight kinds. He created you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, in a threefold gloom. Such is Allah, your Lord. His is the sovereignty. There is no Allah save Him. How then are ye turned away?

(39) Say: Unto Allah belongeth all intercession. His is the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. And afterward unto Him ye will be brought back.

(40) The day when they come forth, nothing of them being hidden from Allah. Whose is the sovereignty this day? It is Allah's, the One, the Almighty.
