(141) And if We had destroyed them with a torment before this (i.e. Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the Qur'an), they would surely have said: "Our Lord! If only You had sent us a Messenger, we should certainly have followed Your Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), before we were humiliated and disgraced."

(142) Had We intended to take a pastime (i.e. a wife or a son), We could surely have taken it from Us, if We were going to do (that).

(143) And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers)."

(144) Certainly you (disbelievers) and that which you are worshipping now besides Allah, are (but) fuel for Hell! (surely), you will enter it.

(145) And surely, the Hour is coming, there is no doubt about it; and certainly, Allah will resurrect those who are in the graves.

(146) Thus have We sent it (this Qur'an) down (to Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) as clear signs, evidence and proofs, and surely, Allah guides whom He wills.

(147) Permission to fight (against disbelievers) is given to those (believers) who are fought against, because they have been wronged; and surely, Allah is Able to give them (believers) victory -

(148) Those who have been expelled from their homes unjustly only because they said: "Our Lord is Allah." For had it not been that Allah checks one set of people by means of another, monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques, wherein the Name of Allah is mentioned much would surely have been pulled down. Verily, Allah will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.

(149) Those who emigrated in the Cause of Allah and after that were killed or died, surely, Allah will provide a good provision for them. And verily, it is Allah Who indeed is the Best of those who make provision.

(150) That is so. And whoever has retaliated with the like of that which he was made to suffer, and then has again been wronged, Allah will surely help him. Verily Allah indeed is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.
