(54) The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein praise Him, and there is not a thing but hymneth His praise; but ye understand not their praise. Lo! He is ever Clement, Forgiving.

(55) And We place upon their hearts veils lest they should understand it, and in their ears a deafness; and when thou makest mention of thy Lord alone in the Qur'an, they turn their backs in aversion.

(56) And who doth greater wrong than he who hath been reminded of the revelations of his Lord, yet turneth away from them and forgetteth what his hands send forward (to the Judgment)? Lo! on their hearts We have placed coverings so that they understand not, and in their ears a deafness. And though thou call them to the guidance, in that case they can never be led aright.

(57) Till, when he came between the two mountains, he found upon their hither side a folk that scarce could understand a saying.

(58) Whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins,

(59) That they may understand my saying.

(60) Gardens of Eden underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. That is the reward of him who groweth.
