(491) (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us.

(492) They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again?

(493) Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,-

(494) And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned.

(495) Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say.

(496) Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation:

(497) A sura which We have sent down and which We have ordained in it have We sent down Clear Signs, in order that ye may receive admonition.

(498) And those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations),- flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors;-

(499) And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own,- their solitary evidence (can be received) if they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the truth;

(500) And Allah makes the Signs plain to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.
