(141) Do then those who disbelieved think that they can take My slaves [i.e., the angels, Allah's Messengers, 'Îsa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)] as Auliya' (lords, gods, protectors) besides Me? Verily, We have prepared Hell as an entertainment for the disbelievers (in the Oneness of Allah - islamic Monotheism) .

(142) "Verily those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - islamic Monotheism) and do righteous deeds, shall have the Gardens of Al-Firdaus (Paradise) for their entertainment.

(143) ['Îsa (Jesus) said]: "And verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allah's religion of islamic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets)." [Tafsir At-Tabari]

(144) And he who works deeds of righteousness, while he is a believer (in islamic Monotheism), then he will have no fear of injustice, nor of any curtailment (of his reward).

(145) Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "Each one (believer and disbeliever.) is waiting, so wait you too; and you shall know who are they that are on the Straight and Even Path (i.e. Allah's religion of islamic Monotheism), and who are they that have let themselves be guided (on the Right Path).

(146) Truly! This, your Ummah [Shari'ah or religion (islamic Monotheism)] is one religion, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone). [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]

(147) So whoever does righteous good deeds while he is a believer (in the Oneness of Allah - islamic Monotheism), his efforts will not be rejected. Verily We record it for him (in his Book of deeds).

(148) Verily, in this (the Qur'an) there is a plain Message for people who worship Allah (i.e. the true, real believers of islamic Monotheism who act practically on the Qur'an and the Sunnah - legal ways of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم).

(149) But if they (disbelievers, idolaters, Jews, Christians, polytheists) turn away (from islamic Monotheism) say (to them O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "I give you a notice (of war as) to be known to us all alike. And I know not whether that which you are promised (i.e. the torment or the Day of Resurrection) is near or far. "

(150) And among mankind is he who worships Allah as it were, upon the edge (i.e. in doubt): if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls him, he turns back on his face (i.e. reverts to disbelief after embracing islam). He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.
