(123) "We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days: this is nothing but a made-up tale!"

(124) The revelation of this Book is from Allah, the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.

(125) Those before them (also) rejected (revelation), and so the Punishment came to them from directions they did not perceive.

(126) The revelation of this Book is from Allah, Exalted in Power, Full of Knowledge,-

(127) Those who reject the Book and the (revelations) with which We sent our messengers: but soon shall they know,-

(128) We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods.

(129) A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;-

(130) And among His Signs in this: thou seest the earth barren and desolate; but when We send down rain to it, it is stirred to life and yields increase. Truly, He Who gives life to the (dead) earth can surely give life to (men) who are dead. For He has power over all things.
