(72) If any do seek for glory and power,- to Allah belong all glory and power. To Him mount up (all) Words of Purity: It is He Who exalts each Deed of Righteousness. Those that lay Plots of Evil,- for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will be void (of result).

(73) And Allah did create you from dust; then from a sperm-drop; then He made you in pairs. And no female conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge. Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Decree (ordained). All this is easy to Allah.

(74) Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay!

(75) These (today) only wait for a single mighty Blast, which (when it comes) will brook no delay.

(76) Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay:

(77) (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay."

(78) They shall have layers of Fire above them, and layers (of Fire) below them: with this doth Allah warn off his servants: "O My Servants! then fear ye Me!"

(79) Now, when he came to them in Truth, from Us, they said, "Slay the sons of those who believe with him, and keep alive their females," but the plots of Unbelievers (end) in nothing but errors (and delusions)!...

(80) Said Pharaoh: "Leave me to slay Moses; and let him call on his Lord! What I fear is lest he should change your religion, or lest he should cause mischief to appear in the land!"
