(291) We have truly sent thee as a witness, as a bringer of Glad Tidings, and as a Warner:

(292) Allah's Good Pleasure was on the Believers when they swore Fealty to thee under the Tree: He knew what was in their hearts, and He sent down Tranquillity to them; and He rewarded them with a speedy Victory;

(293) While the Unbelievers got up in their hearts heat and cant - the heat and cant of ignorance,- Allah sent down His Tranquillity to his Messenger and to the Believers, and made them stick close to the command of self-restraint; and well were they entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah has full knowledge of all things.

(294) It is He Who has sent His Messenger with Guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion: and enough is Allah for a Witness.

(295) Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it).

(296) (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!-

(297) He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning.

(298) They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;-

(299) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest.

(300) And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind:
