(301) "Shall I take besides Him alihah (gods)? If the Most Gracious (Allah) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me?

(302) And We sent not against his people after him a host from the heaven, nor was it needful for Us to send (such a thing).

(303) And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error."

(304) Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" - and it is!

(305) Nay, but that Day they shall surrender.

(306) Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not).

(307) Then, when it descends in their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned!

(308) Or is it that the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? If so, let them ascend up with means (to the heavens)!

(309) And these only wait for a single Saihah [shout (i.e. the blowing of the Trumpet by the angel Israfil -)] there will be no pause or ending thereto [till everything will perish except Allah (the only God full of Majesty, Bounty and Honour)].

(310) Be patient (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) of what they say, and remember Our slave Dawud (David), endued with power. Verily, he was ever oft-returning in all matters and in repentance (toward Allah).
