(11) Alms are only for the poor and the needy, and the officials (appointed) over them, and those whose hearts are made to incline (to truth) and the (ransoming of) captives and those in debts and in the way of Allah and the wayfarer; an ordinance from Allah; and Allah is knowing, Wise.
(12) Marked (for punishment) with your Lord and it is not far off from the unjust.
(13) He said: O my people! have you considered if I have a clear proof from my Lord and He has given me a goodly sustenance from Himself, and I do not desire that in opposition to you I should betake myself to that which I forbid you: I desire nothing but reform so far as I am able, and with none but Allah is the direction of my affair to a right issue; on Him do I rely and to Him do I turn:
(14) And, O my people! let not opposition to me make you guilty so that there may befall you the like of what befell the people of Nuh, or the people of Hud, or the people of Salih, nor are the people of Lut far off from you;
(15) And give to the near of kin his due and (to) the needy and the wayfarer, and do not squander wastefully.
(16) But when they had gone farther, he said to his servant: Bring to us our morning meal, certainly we have met with fatigue from this our journey.
(17) Surely (as for) those for whom the good has already gone forth from Us, they shall be kept far off from it;
(18) But if they turn back, say: I have given you warning in fairness and I do not know whether what you are threatened with is near or far;
(19) Being upright for Allah, not associating aught with Him and whoever associates (others) with Allah, it is as though he had fallen from on high, then the birds snatch him away or the wind carries him off to a far-distant place.
(20) far, far is that which you are threatened with.
