(222) Have they not observed what is before them and what is behind them of the sky and the earth? If We will, We can make the earth swallow them, or cause obliteration from the sky to fall on them. Lo! herein surely is a portent for every slave who turneth (to Allah) repentant.

(223) And Satan indeed found his calculation true concerning them, for they follow him, all save a group of true believers.

(224) Thou warnest only him who followeth the Reminder and feareth the Beneficent in secret. To him bear tidings of forgiveness and a rich reward.

(225) And there came from the uttermost part of the city a man running. He cried: O my people! Follow those who have been sent!

(226) Follow those who ask of you no fee, and who are rightly guided.

(227) And the trumpet is blown and lo! from the graves they hie unto their Lord,

(228) This is hell which ye were promised (if ye followed him).

(229) Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets;

(230) Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low.
