He knows you best when He brings you forth from the earth and when you are embryos in the wombs of your mothers; therefore do not attribute purity to your souls; He knows him best who guards (against evil).

(1222) And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate;

(1223) Surely We sent on them a tornado in a day of bitter ill-luck

(1224) So they said: What! a single mortal from among us! Shall we follow him? Most surely we shall in that case be in sure error and distress:

(1225) Surely We are going to send the she-camel as a trial for them; therefore watch them and have patience.

(1226) Surely We sent upon them a single cry, so they were like the dry fragments of trees which the maker of an enclosure collects.

(1227) Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut's followers; We saved them a little before daybreak,

(1228) Surely the guilty are in error and distress.

(1229) Surely We have created everything according to a measure.

(1230) Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers,
