(1211) But parties from among them differed, so woe to those who were unjust because of the chastisement of a painful day.

(1212) And We are not unjust to them, but they themselves were unjust.

(1213) And they shall call out: O Malik! let your Lord make an end of us. He shall say: Surely you shall tarry.

(1214) A command from us; surely We are the senders (of apostles),

(1215) There is no god but He; He gives life and causes death, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore.

(1216) Our Lord! remove from us the punishment; surely we are believers.

(1217) Thus (it was), and We gave them as a heritage to another people.

(1218) Thus (shall it be), and We will wed them with Houris pure, beautiful ones.

(1219) And (in) the variation of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the cloud, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the changing of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand.

(1220) Before them is hell, and there shall not avail them aught of what they earned, nor those whom they took for guardians besides Allah, and they shall have a grievous punishment.
